In some cases yes…..in some others, no
A good lad in the seat will make
A job with near anything
some of us could have all the bells and whistles…..and still make a mess
A few employers seem to forget a basic life rule in my opinion
speak to people the way you would like to be spoken to
treat people how you would like to be treated.
also, some need to remember that by paying above average wages doesn’t give them the entitlement to treat people like dirt.
I...
Yesterday at a ploughing match, every now and then when the going got really tough, my diff lock started making a chattering noise, like a slip clutch going off.
Once the going eased off, it stopped.
Wouod
Something me out of adjustment, or
Something more terminal
If I was to get a some lengths of 150x10 and punch out 50mm holes every 300mm, and weld that to the sides of my trailer, would that suffice for attaching straps to, or would that need tested etc etc????
My graham Edwards beaver tail has rope hooks down each side on each cross member, and nothing else.
How else am I supposed to secure a vehicle to it, when that’s all it came with from the factory
Poppy on the left, Finn on the right
Poppy is approaching 1 yr old and is as mad as a bag of frogs
Finn is near 3 and I’m unsure if he’s a Patterdale/Jack Russell as we were told or a cat. He’ll quite happily curl up on your knee in a ball and watch tele

If you ask me, the lads at sniper training school should be at dovers famous white cliffs, with a command to sink all inflatables heading this way.
If word got back to the French side that this was happening, I bet they wouldn’t be so keen to come across
it might be cruel etc, but when...
What you have to remember is by using longer lift arms, all plough controls are further away.
Also, in my situation, it made the tractor lighter in the nose as any extra weights are now further away than before as well
I had same problem with my b275 and ransomes plough.
the bottom of disc stalk would catch where the drop arms attach to the lift arms.
i swapped to a set of replica mf 135arms, which are 4” longer than what I had on.
this cured the problem, and also helped when moving plough to take a single...
To change from epics to tcns, you will basically need to replace everything that bolts onto the bottom of the leg.
As for getting the parts required, then good luck as shin pieces and wings are getting very hard to find nowadays, and a decent set of boards will be even harder
That looks to me like an original Massey Ferguson single arm disc unit. They we’re fitted to the 793 ploughs and a few others.
Those are a better type, as you can angle the disc in or out of work, and also change the angle of the skimmer
westlake ploughs would be your best place to look for parts
Here’s a thought, are there many operators, gfw, livestock people actually out there
round here, for yrs I can’t think of many places that have given a young lad or school leaver a chance, and have filled most gaps with either migrant workers, or scraped by without.
now the aging workforce...
Skimmer arms look like Ferguson to me, the 1 left and 1 right point in the middle look like a ransomes point, the skimmer itself is possibly Ferguson, not sure about the discs as too many rivets for a ransomes hub
without being cheeky, it’s not really much of a goldmine find if that’s what you...
