I think they said 1700 springers, I had £93 for 42kg and £95 for 47kg. Down about £10 on last week, big numbers starting to come, one buyer also missing. Ewes dropped as well.

Yes They are on ab-lib feeders, but I would not usually put them on to after Christmas, but have put a few stores from market and a heap of my own that are around 35/40kg that need a bit of finish. It takes a few weeks for them to turn over and then finish quickly.

On average our hogs eat about 100kg to get them from 30kg to 45kg

The trouble with ewes are that they eat twice as much as lambs, also I find a proportion don't fatten.
