    The war in Ukraine...

I find it hard to imagine it would lead to the US bombing civilians and hospitals, mass torture of civilians and mass abductions of children. The systematic war crimes in Ukraine are the worst in Europe since the second world war. I find it difficult to find an excuse for that, no matter how...

    Inconsistent milk tests

Same wagon? It can be quite illuminating if you note down the reg of each collection. We were always manual collection but area farms on the same round were auto and there were more problems for them, than dipping the tanks, but then I always cleaned the dipper and kept the drivers friendly...

    Buying in clamp silage

I've reclamped silage several times now, made field heaps. works well, slow and steady on the clamp and roll it in well. sheet it well, its the same as making silage, don't cut corners. First load I made I was unsure about but when opened it had less rot than the concrete pit i had bought it from!

    The war in Ukraine...

Apart from the personal accounts from those that it happened to, I suppose. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-61248436

    The war in Ukraine...

The UN will be slower in announcing numbers of war crimes as they must have indisputable evidence. In many cases they will only count cases where the is documentable evidence, and mass killings are one case, not several. it will take years to document it all and many, many cases will be missed...

    Cabless electric tractor

Rapid chargers are pretty nifty nowadays. quite a few fleets of electric vans now, even unto LWB Sprinters. Surprising how many delivery vans don't actually do huge milage. Half the time ours are out they are 'idling' during deliveries. Massive savings there. Electric vans aren't actually a huge...

    The war in Ukraine...

Apart from obvious cost, I am curious about what is wrong with a country being able to defend itself?

    The war in Ukraine...

With the number of high profile targets, most of which seem to be supporting the invasion what's the betting on who's behind it? Ukrainian supported or Anti-Putin/war Russian? Is this the start of an uprising - I'd say the current regime must be a bit rocky with those in Russia in the know who...

    The war in Ukraine...

Far better to acquiesce and let the Russians rape and pillage their way through the nazi hordes of grannies and children in 'southern Russia' then, killing anyone who disagrees with Putinism as a Nazi. The population could watch it all on TV, unfortunately they've all been nicked and sent to...

    The war in Ukraine...

Even if they are soldiers in mufti, there are victims that have their hands bound behind their back and have been executed. You can't do that to civilians or soldiers. Also it is quite unusual for children under 4 to be considered as hostile and effective enemy forces. May it be that the...

    The war in Ukraine...

Well I would say there's some pretty nice evidence of a war crime there. I don't know how many times and different languages you have to shout you are a journalist before you've identified yourself as not being a civilian, who shooting at in an ambush would also be quite naughty anyway!

    Front wheel hubs breaking

I have experience with chocolate front axles in smaller case tractors too, but never broken hubs like that. :scratchhead:

    Trading standards inspections

Local (does pretty much the whole SW) dairy inspector is a decent chap, if massively overworked. As long as your tank room is clean and rodent proof, parlour well maintained, and tanker area not sh!t high and you do all the correct prep (wash, wipe, strip, cup each cow), which he will likely...

    Carbon Neutral Milk

Not the first carbon neutral dairy in the Southwest and that's old school now. It's all about being carbon negative (including delivery) and zero plastic ;)

Are Red back boots worth the money?

If you want lace up boots I reccomend Oliver AT boots. Mine lasted much longer than Redbacks and are much more comfortable. Cheaper bought and imported through Ebay, than Redbacks are here too!

    Dairy Farm For Sale

Graze with robots here. Works well for the most part. not a huge amount of grazing infrastructure so wet or very hot weather sees a drop in visits, but overall its successful. New cows adapt very well. Rarely any cows to push out of the paddocks when we go to move the fence.
