He is an average at best auctioneer imo and should not be near the breeding sales. I dont think he would of been in the rostrum had the bull sales not been on. Agree he can sell store/prime lambs as that is his background. Didnt make it as an auctioneer first time round then went to the killing...

Absolutely the gentleman selling the lambs last Saturday made a terrible job in my opinion. Often making mistakes when saying breeding, struggling to grasp the concept of an equal share being retained. Second time I have seen him auctioneer and been totally underwhelmed, the first instance being...

A good one is a good one regardless of the cost. Alot of the best coated tups now are over 1k mark where as you could pick them up for less in years gone by. Which alot of places won't carry the poorer coated ones. Very well done on your trade!

Not exclusively saying that the cost would achieve this. But you would like to hope that is the intention by increasing the tup budget. Really looking forward to when there is a TFF Tup Sale all breeds will be sorted for the better in no time at all.

Christ there is bad in all breeds. We have folk on here that think Charollais and Lleyns are good sheep.... Only one sale worth going to in Blackies and that is on Saturday, some of the most genuine sheep in the breed will be sold there.

    Shearing 2023

Absolutely the whole things seems to have been rather shambolic and embarassing. Even the announcement of the finalists... poor Jack must have been devastated over that mistake. The more the surface is scratched the deeper the failings seem to have been. I had to stand in a pen of bloody swales...
