Yes, were making progress but any farmer that jabs all their lambs with mycotil before they go off on winter keep isnt helping any of us sadly - thats all I was trying to say!
The day when antibiotics no longer work may be with us very soon if those practices continue and unfortunately it will bring us all down. Antibiotic resistance is a looming animal and public health crisis and we're all contributing but these guys more than others.
Just reading the most recent (updated) NVZ wisdom from the powers that be. Does my 1980's built concrete muckstore count as an 'impermeable surface' making it legal once again for storing farmyard manure? Or is their update misleading?
They're good when the feed flows. To be fair though, I've no one to blame but myself for this mess been, been thinking 'must run some out of that bin' every day since it was filled but never did. One of those simple jobs that could have saved hours!!
Same problem here 10t in since early October and won't budge. Should have run some through as soon as it was delivered. Going to try and warm it up a bit with a heat gun through the bottom chute to see if that helps. Only around 50kg/day falling to the bottom at the moment and that wont shift...
Thank you, it was an old barn and we've tried to build around it as much as we can. It's just a normal screed with underfloor heating. Not looking forward to cutting the tiles to the shape of the stone wall!!
