    Ford 6610 quadrant lever stuck.

Sorted, managed to knock the lever back and all good now. I noticed that the lever travels well past the metal quadrant tho. Should there be something to hold it against the metal plate and hence prevent this? There is a square hole in the lever . Thanks for the initial help (y)

    Ford 6610 quadrant lever stuck.

That sounds a possibity, i was struggling to get the bale off the spike and pushed the lever right down as far as it would go. Much further than i would normally so it could have done that. Hope so, i'l have a look tomoz and report back. Thanks

    Ford 6610 quadrant lever stuck.

Been using the hydraulic arms this morning and all good. Just taken bale to some horsey folks and the quadrant lever won't move so the arms are now in loweted position. The lever has some free play but won't move so i'm guessing whatever it turns to work the hydraulics is stuck. Any info...

    MF 135 vs MF250

We must have extra fluffy hay our way ??. Thinking about it though. I have always thought the wheels weren't original. They're 28". They just look a bit too small for the tractor ??

    MF 135 vs MF250

i I agree, I'm looking for a tidy 35 or 35x myself for little jobs. But no harm in informing the OP of problems that others have found doing certain jobs with smaller tractors. He can make a better informed choice then ??

    MF 135 vs MF250

Thinner crops, narrower swath width and used acrobats I guess. I wasn't around then. I've got a 20e which is effectively a 250. I can mow with it but put a haybob behind it and you'll manage first time round but once its fluffed up it becomes a nightmare. An old boy I once worked for sent me...

    MF 135 vs MF250

If you are thinking of doing any hay making. Neither is any good. They are man enough for the job and will do the mowing but they are too low to the ground to do the turning. You end up with it collecting under the tractor. I would be looking at a 165 or 565 and with that budget your getting a...

    Calfs sucking each others navels

I agree the drive to suckle in a calf is it's main priority. I did once feed some lim cross calves from buckets with nipples and that did help just because they had satisfied there suckling desire but it didn't cure. It wasn't intended, they were just too daft to take to the bucket plus they...

    Calfs sucking each others navels

I think so, it's a few years since I kept calves but I'm sure I used them from about 14 days. You may be talking younger of course.

    6610 steering oil leak

Let me know what you do to fix it. I ptfe taped mine. It worked for a week or 2 but I think the oil/heat etc has degraded the tape. I can't find anywhere that sells new steel pipes and am considering a flexible replacement.

    Anyone cutting for hay now?

Hay's in. Just time to grab a bit of haylage if weather holds for a day or two. Although, if they're as good at predicting the weather as I am of the lottery numbers !!!
