Usually vaccinate with Heptavac around start of Feb every year (mid March lambers). Thinking of changing to Bravoxin 10 this year due to price. Wondering, do I need to do a booster this year before lambing aswell?

Scanned today, Lanarks 1 empty 14 singles 50 doubles 11 trips Cheviots 6 empty 25 singles 50 doubles 15 trips Chev Mules scanned at 230% also 🤢🤢 Happy with percentages but always seem to get too many triples for some reason

Start feeding a few weeks before they come then by the sound of it? I assume molasses would be a good idea too

Have bought some broken mouth Lanark ewes (straight off the hill) this year to breed some mule replacements for myself. Was planning on grazing them on good grass till around Christmas then putting them on slats till they lamb. Is this a good idea putting BF ewes on slats? Or will they die for...

What time do people usually tip NC Cheviots? Using them for the first time this year and put the teaser out last Saturday and they won’t let him come near them. Am I too early putting him out? They are all hoggets too so factoring that in.

Yes, my intentions would be to keep them in my own flock... however the intention in the long run would be to cross these with a Suffolk and sell ewe lambs. What would that make them? Suffolk Cheviot mule/scotch half bred? I wonder would there be a market for them?

Does being in a field next to ewes count as isolating? I’ve 40 coming from Scotland next week and I was planning to put them in a field next to my neighbours flock
