Quite a few matches in wet conditions in January here, 35 with diff lock struggled. Changed to radials was a good help, then put wheel weights on that helped again. Sometimes have problems pairing if ground is wet or tender probably due to problems mentioned above, but better than running on...
Our old one is with an enthusiast now, same as the one in video except it had a wooden reel. Did a great sample, with different screens available we used it for cleaning seed. Had a beater in front of the drum oat straw would wrap around. Was a big step up when the Clayson turned up!
Ran an Aktiv bagger trailed combine until 2001, doing 20 to 25 ac of oats a year. Some sold but lots stored in a loft and old barn. Low 2nd on the 35x cutting 5ft 6 I think!
Thankyou, sleeve does have a hole worn in top (and an old nut sat on top of sleeve) just wasn't certain what make it was to see if parts still available. Will look into getting it sorted.
Hi, handpiece lost tension tonight, think I need a few bits, but I've no idea what make of handpiece it is. It's made of some sort of alloy, traces of red paint, very light... seeing as I crutch more than I shear feel hard of buying another if a few new bits will get it going again! So anyone...
Just got paid for last years wool clip, it didn't cover the time and diesel to haul to collection center. Currently got a bit of drainage needed doing, so wondering if it would be an idea to put fleeces either straight on top of pipe, or over a thin layer of gravel? Only concern might be...
Narrow bit is 4 inches long . One of the reasons it's now in the briars is that everything was a bit worn and it wouldn't crowd back enough. Cleaning a shed out with Rams crowded right back muck fork prongs were flat on the floor.
Measured a ram its 20 inch from pin to end of cylinder, 3 inch external and rod is a bit less than 1 1/4 inch . Any other measurements just ask. The boom/ Rams are in my "it will be useful someday" pile, would sell it but suspect I'm a bit far away.
That loader looks the same as our 815 loader, Rams are longer than 880 I think. I've an 880s loader lying in the briars il put tape on them tomorrow if I get a chance.
Glad it's not just me then! It's how mine was at last match or two I used it in, Running light on the hard bits. I've probably only done a dozen matches over the last five years with it. Still learning with it. One of the last matches used it in I pulled front board in a bit for the finish...
Yes match shares on it, came with them on ,I've just about worn them out. Previous owner had used commercial wing and point set up, went well enough.Match shares seem to have a lift on the wing, might help if set with a long leveling box an top link?
Sure I've been told you could buy a main "frame" (bit between legs) especially for match ploughing such as your plough has ,would be less prone to flex than the standard set up . From memory made by bamford who imported them for a while.
Just checked my instruction manual, it's 1983 , when I got plough it had a long cross shaft and hydraulic front furrow. I got a good friend to shorten and lathe down an old kv cross shaft to fit 35. Handle and teethy bit came with plough and were cobbled on as best as we could!
