Is there an alternative way of sealing than using these wax type rings?
Constantly having to tighten the bolts after a few load to stop a flood of slurry blowing out on the ground. How many rings does it actually hold and what’s everyone else’s protocol as to when/how to fix it?
Just after...
Got a number of calves on my new feeder and it’s been a time saver but some issues though.
I have removed two calves as they seem to choke on the teats with the milk flowing too fast through the open holed teats resulting in them stopping drinking altogether. Is there anyway to slow down the...
We have Orby Feeders in our Parlour and every 15 months or so the compressor packs up. We used to use 50ltr compressors and then we were told to use 100ltr compressors as it wouldn’t be starting and stopping as often. No difference, from what we see. In fact they tend to breakdown quicker and...
Looking to replace a broken pto shaft on the slurry tanker with a wide angle shaft this time. Tanker is used for piping slurry from the side of the road. Only a few fields as the rest is done with the Doda.
Just wondering if one needs to spend the money on a Waltersheid or a shaft at lesser...
Our JCB is having a serious issue noticeable when idle with it revving up and down constantly. We suspected a diesel issue so we changed the filters but made no difference. Appears to be getting worse so wondering if anyone can offer any help?
It’s the most important machine on the farm so...
Has anyone ordered parts through the parts.jcb.com website? Need parts for some of my jcb gear and thought it would be easier to do it online as my nearest dealership is 70 mile away and it’s hard to beat picking your parts online and they get delivered to your door. I live in Northern Ireland...
Built a new garage to park the cars in and I put a loft in also and keep costs down, I used steel purlins and 0.7mm PVC coated non drip profile on the roof. This past few weeks, the purlins are dripping and a lot of water is laying in the purlins. The cloth type material on the underside of the...
Few projects coming up like making gates and repair jobs to trailers etc.
Always used a grinder but not easy cutting straight etc.
Want something that will cut box section easily and straight and for cutting sheets of steel. One job I need to do is cut lengths of angle iron but one side...
Is there a specific way to start a T7 with jump leads from another tractor? I remember hearing there is a specific place on the T7’s for jump starting because you can’t connect the leads to the battery directly due to safety of its electrics.
Is there?
I have picked up several mounted vhf two way radios to go into our T7’s. I’ve removed one of the DIN compartments up beside the Radio/Fan Controls. I was hoping for existing cabling New Holland might have left for such hardware but I see nothing, just the cables going to the fan and radio...
Trying to ted out some very heavy grass today thanks to the awful weather we have had this past few weeks. There is a clutch that seems to be slipping when a load goes against it. Bit of a nightmare. Never had an issue with the clutch in all the years we have had it until this time. Crop is...
The floor on my low loader is rotten. Couldn’t believe how bad it was until lumps of the floor started to fall onto the road when moving the digger. The floor is like crumbs.
Some people say I need to use hard wood again and other say to go and get yourself normal timber from the local hardware...
Finally getting out to use my new dribblebar on my Umbilical system and yesterday evening after having a walk around it I noticed around 5 pipes on one side are badly kinked with one pipe split. Two are badly flattened.
When you close the arms up to change fields, the pipes are kinking. It’s...
What pump are you guys using in your parlour pit to pump out the dirty water? Ours starts to cease every 15 months or so. It like sand/sediment gets into it and wears it down. Starting to struggle this morning. Took it out and washed it but on its way out.
I have 14m3 Tub feeder and I noticed yesterday and still the same today, the oil reservoir is full and over flowing when you remove the lid. Why is this? The container is seen every day and it’s been at the correct mark but now over flowing.
I have a calf at 9 weeks old and last night it has started to put this bad dung full of blood. Does anyone know the cause before I consult a vet?
Calf is skipping about eating like normal.
Realised yesterday I have a poor selection of large sockets especially impact and spanner’s over 32mm. I have a number of large nuts to remove and the only thing I have is a big adjustable. Not even a spanner over 32mm. I have a 3/4 inch Milwaukee so after 3/4“ sockets.
What do you guys...
I have two fields which need limed but due to the location of them beside certain property, I can’t have quarry lime blowing over that area.
I see some people are offering bagged lime produced from egg shells which some say is much better than G-Lime.
Anyone used it or know much about it?
I have two yellow 19mm bore hoses with claw connectors but they suffer when they get hot when blowing out pipes at long distances especially with 5inch pipe. They tend to bust at either end but more so at the compressor end.
Just wonder what pipe you guys use or do you suffer the same problem...
This past number of days the oil flow from the spools of our TM have become poor. You have to rev the hell out of the tractor. Back end is fine for oil. Something isn’t right.
Just under 500hrs since last full service with New Holland dealer.
Anyone know what could be wrong or what to check?
