Been 18.6tons for a long time. Local quarry won't let to leave if you are carrying too much weight. Tankers have gallons written on side of them how nobody gotten into bother yet is beyond me. Our 2500 tanker is 16tons when full. Seen a few 3500 going about definitely overweight. Seems as usual...
We demoed one of course I was looking at the 450 but they sent a 570 with power steering etc. So wasn't exactly the best demo. I really didn't like no right hand brake. The 570 seemed a good bike though. 👍
We put goodyear on over bkt as the salesman said was a better tyre. Same price for both. But only in October so time will tell. Won't be hard to be better than the firestones that came off.
Consumeables and environmental charge are added to every bill we get from certain main dealer. 10 quid on every bill sent adds up very quick. Don't often pay it as old filters or oil are left on farm. Other one is charge for an hours traveling time from dealership when the guy himself arrived on...
Too many variables between farms to say how many is best for each situation. There will be a sweet spot for each farm. Between making enough money but not working 70 hour weeks. I'm sure alot can increase numbers, reseeding, liming, abit more fertiliser etc. Is about scale to an extent. 20 cows...
Priced up horizontal panel inside H beams vs shuttered tank. And the price really want much different. Shuttered always going to be stronger and less likely to leak in my opinion.
Would double the width of tank if you can. Won't be much more. I would think the tank will be £20-25k. Shed could be 8k to 10k.
65 X 26 X 8 tank would be more cost efficient. Maybe not possible e with space available.
Need a new 800/65 r32 tyre for 2500 tanker. Been offered a belshina tyre at £1200 or alliance at £1640. So quite a price difference.heard of alliance but not belshina, worth going the cheaper route or just bite bullet?
Were looking to plant some forage rape just to give field a break from grass. Would be for ewes over winter. 8 acre field. Is it getting too late to plant now? In South West Scotland. Field has been sprayed off and should finish working it today. Just whether to just reseed it grass or stick...
Grim reading. Feel for the families they left behind. But most seem to be caused by lack of common sense. Most things will have been done by them countless times just luck that they hadn't got hurt before. Health and safety doesn't really come into it with a farmer working on his own farm...
Hi all. Got sorted, dealer was in sorting seat on other tractor so guy gave me a hand. Spanner and some... Persuasion with a hammer worked but wasn't easy for him either. Problem being never been off brackets still paint on them.
So going to give it a rub down and plenty of grease before...
Hi all.
Wondering if someone had any suggestions.
Got a new holland tl750 loader. New in December, loader hasn't been taken off before. I can't get it in a position to let me move the levers that unlock it from tractor. Any ideas?
Hi all. Abit late with our slurry this year wet weather, then lambing etc. Normally wouldn't bother me but with the forecast looking like no rain til at least beginning of May should I just hold of and apply after first cut? Fair watery but don't want it to dry on top of the grass and come in...
