Need a new 800/65 r32 tyre for 2500 tanker. Been offered a belshina tyre at £1200 or alliance at £1640. So quite a price difference.heard of alliance but not belshina, worth going the cheaper route or just bite bullet?
Were looking to plant some forage rape just to give field a break from grass. Would be for ewes over winter. 8 acre field. Is it getting too late to plant now? In South West Scotland. Field has been sprayed off and should finish working it today. Just whether to just reseed it grass or stick...
Hi all.
Wondering if someone had any suggestions.
Got a new holland tl750 loader. New in December, loader hasn't been taken off before. I can't get it in a position to let me move the levers that unlock it from tractor. Any ideas?
Hi all. Abit late with our slurry this year wet weather, then lambing etc. Normally wouldn't bother me but with the forecast looking like no rain til at least beginning of May should I just hold of and apply after first cut? Fair watery but don't want it to dry on top of the grass and come in...
How long is abit of string question... But how long would 2 forage wagons take to lift 100 acres of fairly heavy first cut all fields within 5-10mins from pit. Some fields with knowes in them etc. Worst case scenario 20 hours?
Currently hauling slurry about third of a mile to tower during winter. Have been leaving Ford 4600 at reception pit so can fill pit and start pumping while I go for another load. Just wondering if the tanker would be able to blow slurry up the pipe the pump uses? save 4600 sitting outside all...
How far and height would a standard pto pump/mixer pump fairly watery slurry. I know alot of variables but got about about 150metres and maybe 10m rise to pump. Is there any that could do that without going down umbilical pump route?
Thanks
Got a Hitachi 210 hired in and the quick hitch isn't operating, when I press button no sound. Tried changing fuses around but no use, everybody seems to be busy or not answering phones. Anybody got an ideas?
Future long term plans are to build a shed on ground made up with 5 to 6 feet of rock. What is the best way to do this deep pads? Or possible to compact ground significantly enough to build on? Roll it down every 6inch when putting rock in?
New tanker week or so ago.
Question about filling, will fill ok with watery slurry but if it gets thick at all really struggles, takes an age wont fill up to sight glass even. Alot of pressure build up when released and no thick slurry in pipe when taken off. Old abbey 1300 filled thick stuff...

What are the issues associated with buying a non ce marked shed? People must put up 2nd hand sheds all time. Thinking of buying shed then getting guys into erect. Are they any worse than ce marked?
Received a quote for a 60 x 20 x 12 mono pitch with 4ft 6 cantilever building today for £7200 and £5680 for erection which seemed steep to me? Erection for 100 x 40 x 14 2 months ago was £6300. Am i missing something?
Thoughts for this year was to try and go for 3 cuts. Currently running 65 spring and 30 autumn calvers. Usual is 2 cuts beginning of june and then some time in august.100acres each cut roughly. So would instead go for 100acre first cut 3rd week of may, 100 acre 2nd cut middle of july then leave...
Looking at making a larger silage pit from an old one. Panels seem the cheapest and easiest option. First thoughts were for h beams with a plate on top to attach roof possibly in the future but looking online looks like a large foundation would be required, so was wondering whether it is a...
