Garmin venu sq2 here, taking evertything that's been thrown at it for last 6 months or so, no dairy mind you!, but its never taken off and been in oil, muck, sh1t and the rest with no issues, few scratches on screen but all functioning 100%. Battery life is 2-3weeks at a time easy, i like that...
On a tractor of that age/spec should there be anything computer controlled that is supposed to prevent it from happening (e.g. not allow disengagement until wheels are near straight?... always assumed that newer tractors would use something like a steering angle sensor to control something like...
Two nights ago spied what must have been a hundred or more swans heading north, was an impressive sight in their different batches and formations spread probably a couple of miles wide across the sky just as dusk was falling
Defo no aux pump that i can tell, or ipto, or multipower, just standard pto wit ground drive.
When we got it in the 80s it had a single acting screw on type tipping pipe activated by pulling lever to constant pumping, we just replaced this with a quick release, which is tapped in under the seat...
That's one from left field!, na couldn't do that to the 148, already hav managed to accumulate a second loader for the 398 as it was cheaper to buy a complete spare loader than get rams made, so now hav a short and long reach loader for it should i ever need a choice!!
Was aiming for a 500 or...
Cheers folks!, can't really afford to lose lift control so not going to be as straight forward as I had thought!, altho do hav a set of the stays lying about and only use big bags, but would be a bit of a faf when hooking on jusy to throw a bit on a few acres!
Second hand market for manual...
No multi or banjo on the pto plate. Don't need lift control when using hyd or anything as spinner will just sit at required height just need a setup to open the spout!
Might need to change the fert spinner in the near future, most options now seem to be hydraulic opening so might need to upgrade the mighty 148!
Tractor currently only has tipping when put into constant pumping on the lift lever.
A quick Google has brought up two options below, can anyone...

I bought myself a single post car lift for these kinda jobs, doesn't need bolted down plugs into a standard plug and can be wheeled about when empty.
Not the cheapest (2k ish probably 5 years ago) but it's a proper lift wit all the safety doda's and will last me forever
Hopefully get things drying a bit quicker, hit a blockage about 10m from this opening and been running wit a full pipe for over 4 hours now!, drain is taking water from a yard too so all the rain this winter had turned the field into a swamp!

Are the pressures ok?, our pump shows the inside and outside loop pressures, outside pressure needs to be around 2bar for ours I think, had to top it up a few times at the beginning as it settled in (7ish yes ago), rarely touch it now, drops to maybe 1.8sh when the temps in the system drop...
looking for a bit of advise... our crush/race has come to the end of its life. it was built maybe in 60/70's and is tucked in behind old sheds and is not really fit for modern day operations and even the cattle sizes.
I am going to build a new one, in a new location nearer the existing slatted...

No aux...
