It’s fairly strong but I made a reinforcing plate under and up either side as it stuck out a fair way, it was long enough to get the equal angles on the Heston pto shaft .I’ll get some pics of it Sometime.
I have two of the original JD ones, were they made by Deere or Laforge? Had one of them on a 6910 . Ones clockwise, other anti clockwise rotation, both good order , rubber coupling will need replacing. Ring me on 07831 335697 if of any interest. Thanks.
I have the choice of two, ( clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation) genuine JD front pto units, the one shown in the 6010 series brochure. Both in very good order, apart from the rubber coupling that bolts to the front pulley. Arnt asking the earth for them, if they’d be any use to you.
In my experience it could be the speed sensor, it’s on the left hand side of the gearbox, behind the fuel tank, in flint of the lhs axle trumpet housing. Simple to fit if you release the fuel tank strap.
