Thank you! We shall see if the little man in green knows about this.

    Looking for signal

We have a JD6930 with a 2630 screen and now need to get a signal to open the slide on a grass seeder. The seeder is on a rotavator that’s on the linkage arms. So when we lower the linkage arms the gps starts to paint and a signal is to be sent to open the slide on the seeder. How can we get this...

    Foliar Urea at 45 l/ha

    Foliar Urea at 45 l/ha

Plan is in kg N. 60 with dribblebars, mix ammonium sulphate, AN and Urea. Then Urea for foliar in 10+10+20. The last 20 for protein. We add molasses, humic and fulvic and whatever else is needed according to sap analysis. This is all very new to us but last years results looked very promising. I...

    Foliar Urea at 45 l/ha

Thanks for replys. Yes, it probably makes sense to water it down. It's just I was dreaming of doing more ha per load.. Joel's 'method' is to make at least me understand how N works in the plant/soil and therefore to be able to maximize the use of N specifically in a foliar context. This has let...

    Foliar Urea at 45 l/ha

Anybody with experience spraying 45 l/ha of urea? Looking at nozzle chart it would mean green 015s at speed. But what about blockage? Normally we use 91 l/ha with guardian air 02s which gives us 20 kg of Urea. Now in the followings of Joel Williams we want to go 10 kg but at the same...

    Foliar N

My idea would be to give 50 kg injected and then come back with 15 kg foliar per pass hoping not having to go to 170 if foliar proves more efficient..

    Foliar N

At what stage would it be sensible to start with foliar, do you think?

    Foliar N

Would it be possible to use only foliar in order to make the most of expensive nitrogen? As I understand it is way more efficient but is it possible supply all this way? Looking to apply 170 kg N/ha. Thanks

    Perfect lines

I would guess no since we see it in other fields too where it makes no sense to plow E/W as the lines go.

    Perfect lines

Last plowed ’97. Dd since ’08 ’Everything’ done left to right in picture, tiles as well. We get these lines on most fields. Does not show in the crop though.

    Perfect lines

What causes the lines in the field? Direction of travel is left to right in the picture. My guess magnetism? Lines are due E/W. Thanks

    Permanent clover understory

Here I would stitch it in between the rows of rye in the spring so it can grow some ones the rye is off. I would also bale the rye.

    Permanent clover understory

We use Herakles which is not a hybrid but I am told old ’culture’ varietys work even better scavenging for what they need. Last year we placed 60 kg of N with the drill in spring. It was slow release organic prills so didn’t release fast enough for the rye to make much use of it. Probably make a...

    Permanent clover understory

We take the rye for grain, make forage of the stubbles and clover, graze short and the back to rye (which could probably be grazed in the autumn, but we have not tried this). Local weather - dry spring/summer wet autumn/winter and guaranteed frost over winter (so far guaranteed ...) annual...

    Permanent clover understory

On third rye crop with clover in the bottom. Low harvest yield but also a forage on stubbles and clover for the cows and then grazed short with sheep before drilling. No chem and ’only’ cow muck in autumn. :)
