    750a mods

Our 2013 6m 750a is in need of some tlc now. Are the pro series boots worth the extra spend? For JD parts they are £112pro, £48 90 series. Is anyone putting together an order from Exapta (USA) or BPR (Aus.)? Have some prices for the bits I need / fancy. Exapta seem more competitive at the...

    750A spoked gauge wheels

When setting or playing about with the gap between the tyres and discs it's worth giving the pinch bolt another check. If it has been loose the wheel holder can have slid away from the disc, increasing the gap. The scraper rings seem like a good idea to me. Any one on them in the UK?

    750A spoked gauge wheels

£112 on a 3-4 day stock order. We had this problem 2 weeks back when conditions were sticky. Original wheels had done 6500 acres and lip was worn and damaged on them, removing shims did not fix the problem. Spoked wheels were purchased and all is well, patience for drier times would probably...

    Massey 7724 in work switch

Thanks. Think I've got that. Yes got to use a relay as the signal wire going to earth to switch the seeder into work. Really wanted to know if the socket can be made live using a work trigger rather than headland management button ie automatically as the arms are lowered. It will work as I've...

    Massey 7724 in work switch

Does anyone know a way of getting an external signal from the datatronic in work trigger. I am trying to get a signal to turn a stocks seeder on and off as arms are raised and lowered without fitting a finger switch on the linkage. Cheers Mike

    750a depth wheel

Does anyone have a source for a shim to pinch up the bearing in the depth wheel? I know it has been discussed on here, using a washer to take the play out but in my mind it needs about a 0.5 mm shim? Apologies if it is already on here....... Thanks Mike.

We have a barn roof that wants painting before the rust sets in. It is corrugated galvanized steel sheets that were originally painted with red oxide. Over the years it has has bitumastic and polyurethane paints on. Most residues of these have now flaked and peeled and the galv should be old...

    DD Grain Maize

We grew it for about 10 years, our last harvest was 2013, since then it has gone as forage to an AD plant. Variety wise, every man and his dog will try and sell you seed, there are many suitable varieties out there, we started out with pioneer varieties, our best ever yield was probably from...
