In much need of a 6 (or 5) furrow mounted plough. Slatted better, as auto reset, but anything in good condition considered like kv no8 or doweswell dds.
Up to £7k
Cheers
I hoped to find an sprinter 6 or 4 less than 8years old for 20k. None found yet.
Any further suggestions, looking for something overlooked / not considered. Im out of ideas.
Ta. CO 4 6 8 all seem to be completely hanging before sold. Don't mind conversion of coulters but not framework nor in-season repairs. Hence ST might be less worn out.
What is the best comprise on a dd tine drill. New anything too expensive. Simba freeflow too much compaction and too old seed box. Horsch co4 not enough tines and fram cracks if transporting loaded. Simtech ideal but 3m too small and 4m unavailable used.
I need to find something else to...
I think it's an excellent opportunity for both parties on unused land. I wish you all the best. As noted by @JCMaloney , honest with figures may help fulfil your land requirements.
My experience suggests that having a go is well worth while, but without getting bogged down in the detail, a use of whole croping for livestock is a financially sound option at points in the rotation.
It was a mix of two red and white, three yr silage mix. Notill wheat combined and bailed straw. No till barley, wholecropped as it was going flat.
Moved surface to make use of 3 month cleaning window. Perhaps a mistake. Second barley or linseed next.
No artificial nitrogen but not organic. I can't see the financial return.
The concept is good but like most good ideas in uk farming, it's unlikely to pay on an average unit.
