Most comments seem to underline my previous thoughts of quality and hours on a telehandler. I will of course have to get demos out, but I am leaning more and more to the Liebherr/Claas machine, if it is one our of the lot that would be possible to get big hours from it should be the brand that...
Yeah, I have been thinking about that as well… but since I am looking to trade in the L60E, its really a one way road I am walking… and since we do lots of hours It will need replacing very soon if we go for one with 4-5000 h. And from previous comments it seems like I need to find a very good...
Many Volvo loaders stay at the same farm for life, or until they totally worn out. But you can try this link
https://www.blocket.se/annonser/hela_sverige/fordon/lastbil_truck_entreprenad/entreprenadmaskiner?cg=1223
It is Swedens biggest second hand market for machines and alot of other stuff...
Like you would imagine from the topic me and my brother have started thinking about buying a telehandler. In Sweden telehandlers are very few and far between, instead the Volvo wheel loaders are common and can be found on almost every farm. This means we have very little input when starting to...
Did you actually run the tractors over a weighbridge or did you just look at the manual or leaflet? If you did weigh them, It would be great if you could contribute with weights and specifications of both the Magnum and Optum.
I bought myself a Puma CVX 175 a couple of months ago, according to...
I had the Puma 240 for demo last autumn, but I appreciate that the 175 is a bit smaller. But when it comes to weight the 175 is more than heavy enough, I ran mine over the weighbridge last week and it was 8450 kg. That seems to be 500 kg more than a Fendt 720 from what I have read on the forum...
Is there anyone who has a recent price on a Puma 175 CVX in Britain, thought it might be fun to compare with Swedish prices? I bought myself a top spec Puma 175 with front links, front pto, electric mirrors, top seat, engine breaks, AFS 700 Pro monitor, 4 rear spools, 2 front spools, front axle...
Yes, the duals have got an identical cylinder mounted… you just put the dual in place, make sure the teeth connect and tighten the centre bolt! The only worn off paint is in where the teeth are in the cylinder.
Thanks!
It is an adaptor for fitting duals. It's a really nice design, with just one centre bolt to hold them. Has worked really good for 15 years now, and it takes me just under 5 minutes to get the duals on by myself!
Like Pingu wrote before its more of an up in spec than a down. I want the 650/75 38s as I run a 8 row mounted maizedrill which is quite heavy and the these tyres can handle a bit more load.
Here comes a little update if anyone finds the weights interesting…
I ended up buying a Puma 175 CVX, which is the high hp SWB model Puma nowadays.
It has a very high spec, including front links with PTO and 600/65R28, 650/75R38, 4 rear spools, 2 in the front.
The dealer told me that the...
I have ran my Krone 9140 CV triples for 10 years now and It has got the same rollers that you have, but there might be other differences in the construction of the grouper. Anyway, I can tell you that it happens sometimes that grass build up on them but I can't really say it is a big problem for...
I wouldn't bet my life on it but I am pretty certain that the 800 series share the same engine as the 700 models. In that case 280 hp would be no problem… but on the other hand a 724 got ML 180 transmission and the 828 got the ML 220 transmission.
I have read of a 724 remapped to 280 hp. It...
I bought myself a Carrier XL 525 a couple of years ago, having looked at the original Carrier for years without finding it good enough to strike a deal. And I am really impressed with the CRXL, I mainly bought it for stubble work in cereals and for my maize land which I mainly manage without...
I had big problems with Wild Carrots in my onions last year, never seen any Wild Carrots at all before that. Since we only have 4 herbicides to choose from there was not much I could do expect try them all. But I can at least tell you that Boxer, Fenix, Lentagran WG or Buctril EC 225 did not do...
The only thing that I would think about is the second hand price when it comes to swapping. In my area the Krones are pretty sought after so it is not a problem, but anyways I think it will always be easier to sell a Claas second hand.
I took the step over to Krone from Claas 8 years ago now and I am sure I made the right decision. I hade a Jaguar 850 -02 and moved to a Big X 650 -08 which was a huge step of course. Both in horsepower and reliability I would say. When it comes to fuel the 650 was alot more easy on it than the...
