How are people finding the TMC if they are still running them? Thinking of one for the front. Interested to hear approx fuel usage on rushes, shorter grass etc. What sort of job do they make on shorter grass such as playing fields etc?
400rpm at 8.2m and 6-7kmh made a perfect row in hay. Haven't had any silage today, thinking similar width with more forward speed and some more rpm to fill the middle of the row.
Bit late to the topic but what sort of width, pto speeds and forward speed do you run at with the 2900 in front of a baler? We're using the same but just can't get the perfect row
That is very nice! Cheers for the link.
I think their reputation from the issues with the launch models has really affected the 2nd hand value of them.
It sounds very similar. They have sent me a video and it drives around the yard then up and down the road smoothly and looks pretty quick. About 5 mins of video and it never done it once. I'd love to have a go at fixing it as I'm sure it's electrical but it's an expensive gamble.
Lack of knowledge and blinkers I guess. As the tractors get a bit of sh*t I guess the dealer would try sell a new one rather than mess about trying to fix this as a trade in. They have said gearbox has been apart and no noticeable damage and that's as far as they went before customer got a fresh...
It sounds pretty similar I think, although this may have been covered since they've had the tractor split. ?
They say its been split and everything internally looks in OK condition. Did it not crunch or bang etc when driving? This one is silent in the videos and drives well just randomly stops...
It's at a French dealer, they have split the tractor and couldn't find anything internally wrong apparently. Which is why they have said 90% sure it's hydraulic, but I think it's more likely to be electrics reading up about the TM175/190s. Person traded it in for fresh machine instead of fixing...
Sweet cheers for that will speak to local dealer for them!
That's what I'm hoping it is, do you know if it just completely stopped and flashed anything up or just stopped and started again?
Did you get on okay with it?
I have seen the guides but most I'd seen are for RC. I was also looking at the tools but seem rare in UK. Think I read it was centre 2 pins that you could bridge with wires to get H Menu but can't find the post again.
Yeah that's what I was thinking if I could get across cheaply. Have you got info on how to get into H menu or how to calibrate PC? Do you have a TM175?
Just a hair over 6500, he did have one for sale and dropped it down to 16k + VAT which we unfortunately missed by a day. Would prefer to get a good one but don't mind a project and learning stuff on the way if it's not too costly.
Yeah that would be one way out. I guess it would be worth a...
Not really sure as don't know exact issue. My plan would be to strip it myself and dive into it see what I can find or do myself.
Yeah it's a tough one with known issues, could be anything really but right fancy the 175 even though they get a lot of flack. Wouldn't be hard worked by us, mainly...
This one's abroad so haven't had a chance to drive it, not sure on exactly what it does and what's needed to get it driving again. Apparently no codes come up but not sure what they have done. I'd love to go have a look a look and try get the transmission H menu up to check all the switches out...
