Steve Heard. He's left farming now to pursue other enterprises, not sure what they are.

    Biological Brews

TBH that makes little sense. The material is diatomaceous earth. It's not a poison or conventional insecticide and does not kill soil microbes. It works by virtue of its high content of microscopic diatom bodies, comprising very hard and sharp silica. This traps in the joints of an insect pest's...

What’s the most you have ever Won?

Couple of wine bottles once in a blue moon. Best though was a win of two tickets on the Herald of Free Enterprise to Zeebrugge. Won at a Cubs raffle in I think 1986. No one else interested to go - Never got used  .

Which 3 TFFers would you like to have dinner with?

The massive and superbly made table leg would foil this plan. Leaving them to continue on the on the same path, after routing and executing the perpetrators, of course.

    Blood sucking ahdb

It's taken automatically by all merchants I know of, or have ever dealt with. Does it get to the PGRO? Who knows. Probably can make a phone call and demand it is removed, but has anyone done that? Constitutes £300 - 600 per annum, depending on cropping mix. Not really getting much benefit at...

When is it going to rain ?

Both Windy and Ventusky are very good. Once you find your way around them you can flick between various running models. GFS, ECMWF, ICON, AROME, etc. Every other forecast derives from one of these. I often have people tell me the BBC is more accurate than XC (cross country). One uses GFS as the...

Rates on old house - want to stop paying

I have the same situation with an old pre fab bungalow, unfit for habitation by any resonable assessment. Utterly mad.

    Spring drought 2020

Dead right. Three fields I didn't get to pre springtines, due to faffing about with f'ing Isobus problems on a new drill. The difference is night and day, nothing can be done now to compensate with this damn weather.

    Axle stands for tractor.

Probably the best, non hydraulic or crazy price (sprayer jack types) stand I have. Has a bearing race so will jack up to a fair load too. 10 or 15 ton. 6 is too flimsy for tractors 90hp+ http://motoringdeals.com/shop/axle-stands/asa15000-adjustable-axle-stand-15ton-2/

Farmers earn more from YouTube than their crops

Welker farms anyday, that and the amazing farm in the Missouri Breaks Mike, whilst very up to date, seems a bit of an owner's son, with clearly a lot of money to throw at the job. I was lucky to work for an excellent farmer in north eastern Montana 20 years ago. He was using the same sized...

    Trailer floatation tyre choices

Nokian Country King or Michelin Cargo-bib easily the best. Possibly lean towards Nokian, wear well, seem to be pretty puncture resistant and abuse tolerant.
