    Fac Variation and Which large calibre rifle?

    .308 would be my first choice with readily available ammo and the ability to raise or lower your bullet weight subject to target requirement and rezero. .270 win comes a close second, very flat shooting out to 200m but mine seems to like 130grn bullets the best. .243cal for smaller deer species...

    Mid Cornwall here earliest ever for us was 29th March, normally around the 6th/7th April, always reports of early ones around Marazion.

    I think the traditional date for shooting branchers was around the 12th May there was such a thing as a rook rifle, a short chamber .22cal. Plant out the runner beans the day after so I was once told.

    Mid Cornwall, av field size less than 5ac, 3or 4 cows to a field don't do much harm in a normal year. Just sitting out a very heavy shower, rain dancing off the tractor bonnet

    Drivers Licence Renewal.

    Saw this thread this morning and just knew my licence had expired, checked and was a few days out. Online and £14.00 later plus a call to DVLA confirms as stated above that as long as there are no medical or driving bans current I am ok to drive. New one should be with me in three days.
