I’m sure mine has 8 knives on it, there was an option for a top plate with 12 knives on.

Yes thinking about it, I’ll be best also greasing mine after I’ve used it, to stop the motor shaft from rusting when it’s packed up, and then damaging my seal in the pump. Thank you ??

Cracking idea??. I’ll be doing the same next free day. I had a hole in my collar which I’ve also blocked of, so that it holds the grease in there better, and forces it up through the top seal. Thanks

Alliance have been around for years, I thought they’d have more of a following, heard that JD where fitting quiet a few of them.

Alliance or Bkt ? replacing a set of 650/65/42 & 600/65/28 on a JD6150, I’ve used bkt before and was very pleased with them, Alliance are £700 cheaper tho, but had no experience of them. Would like the saving of £700 but they need to be right for the job. Anyone had experience of these makes? Thanks

I use K48 heavy duty grease, Normally grease every 2-3 days, thinking I should grease that collar every day now tho.

I’d go with something like a simba DTX, it’ll lift it and disc all in one. A hell of a machine.

Yes it would be thanks. I also double sealed the collar and built the hub up and had it lathed down to try to stop any slurry getting to the motor, as the motor shaft was already corroding, and wouldn’t be helping the seal. I tapped the hole in the collar and put a bolt into it, as a plug so...

I’ve put a second male quick release fitting T’d into the the 3/4 pipe which is the return to the tractor, instead of it go back through the valve block ie the picture before, hoping this will cut out any back pressure to the motor.

PTO speed for the vacuum pump on the tanker is on 280rpm. But the oil flow that works the macerator motor, which I’m having problems with is set at a flow of No3 on the spools on a JD6155. Thanks
