I have a set of radar r/t on my hilux but my fuel economy has dropped like a stone from my old kumho mt51s which were a MT tyre! Cant say they are better in the wet as they spin on the same round rounderbouts and i dont drive fast. Bit disappointed with them really. Maybe a little quieter but...
Would a grange-type low disturbance cultivator with the drill attached work, depending what hp you had. Get a rake to till lightly to get bg to chit and a bit of tilth.
Do you have to plant anything to head in winter or can you put feeders out to feed the little birds to fulfil the AhL2 ? Its fulfilling the 'provide food resources for farmland birds in late autumn-winter'
The new ranger/amorak look so big compared to my hilux, not sure i actually need the extra size over the hilux as its a good size for getting about. Think this tech can be over the top for what you actually need except the safety tech which is very good.
Not bad on the road not like a full blown mt. When they are worn and the roads are greasy and wet can spin the wheels at junctions and roundabouts. Traction control takes care of it though. Would fit them again. Have rotated them every year.
On my second set of marshall/kumho mt51s and the last set is at 33,000 miles with 6m left. Have been good tyres work well in the mud, maybe not as aggressive as some mud terrains, Alot cheaper though. Have run them on my hilux.
I have cut up an old ibc and put it in front of the front linkage and front axle to gently push the crop down. Just reduced the damage to stems from any sharp edges.
Have run one for the last 2 season and i have been impressed with it. Doesnt take a lot of pulling and will run in all situations. Build quality seems good as well. We run it on a fendt 933 it runs on tick over, plenty of stones and hills here, and goes well. Could run it on either our 270 or...
Price is the main reason not to buy them, so expensive compared to the rest. Brillant bit of kit but the rest have caught up. Priced a lot of different models at harvest for a 6m.
Running 03 blues lechelers at 50cm and 025 bbj at 25cm so can run 100-250. Use 03s alot at 125 or all of them at 200l/ha. Dont get too many blockages with the 025s.
