Talking about decent sized livestock units, 500ish acres, 1000 ewes, 100 sucklers give or take a bit. Don't often see them advertised. Do they tend to go under the radar so to speak?

Will I be alright tupping ewes on stubble turnips? Would like to here about any pros and cons associated with the job. They can have a 16 acre grass field as run back. Permanent pasture but won't have a lot of grass on it.

What would happen if I put these to South Country cheviot tups? Presume the result would be reasonable lambs probably with a fair bit of go about them. With the Southie being a hill breed could I expect smaller born lambs that would be lambed fairly easily but with plenty of get up and go about...
