I have quite a substantial bit of plasma cutting that needs doing for an upcoming project mainly base plates, joining plates etc as I was thinking it may work out more economical to get them plasma cut then mag drilling myself. I need a good reliable company I'm in worksop nottinghamshire area.

I have seen a few swiftcut for sale locally one has a 200amp plasma with it. Does hardox cut ok and not chewy? Bolt holes not to tapered?

Thanks for that do you know of any decent cnc tables? The cheapo ones on eBay look ok but not sure on accuracy for bolt holes etc.

I am after a bit of advise on whether to buy a cnc plasma or a flame profiler. I will be primarily cutting 10mm, 15mm and 20mm plate some hardox. Anyone own either cutting machines and could offer some advise? that would be great. Thanks in advance

Which welder would you go for? Old inverter yes but which one? I can get a migatronic flex 400 for not a lot and I'm sure that is inverter based. Chap that uses it now uses it on structural stuff so it is calibrated but it is old ish.

Can you remember how much you paid for the water cooler fitted? Cheers

Thanks for that yes I have seen a migatronic flex 400 with seperate wire feed but the cables from base unit to feed are only 2m can these be extended if I took it to a welding supplies? also can water coolers be retro fit as I would want the torch water cooled.

Hi I have recently started renting a workshop unit not for welding primarily but i do need to weld some hefty things now and again. Would I notice a big difference using a 3 phase mig compared to a single phase? I do have 3 phase in my workshop. Thanks in advance.
