Sustainable farming incentive - handbook for 2023 has been published

SFI is not as restrictive as CS mid tier, low input grassland on SFI allows you to supplementary feeding but not in mid tier and the payment is identical.

Sustainable farming incentive - handbook for 2023 has been published

Low input grassland in the SFI states that you can trough feed as long as you don't cause poaching, which is different from the CS scheme, I am hoping to switch my low input grassland from CS to SFI for that very reason.

Sustainable farming incentive - handbook for 2023 has been published

    GS2 low input grassland

No mention of it in GS2 rules, but says 'must read general rules of CSS' in which it says no more than 50% of hedges can be cut in any one year. So I presume that any application for CSS means no annual hedge cutting as it is a general rule !

    GS2 low input grassland

Thanks, that's how I have read it,that makes it a no goer , the bit they are paying for 100 acres won't compensate for not being able to do the hedges on all 400 acres. Cheers

    GS2 low input grassland

Have applied and been accepted to put about a quarter of the farm into GS2 low input grassland, but on closer inspection you have to agree to biannual hedge cutting!! Does this apply just to the land in GS2 or the remaining 3/4 of my land aswell?
