Yes, that is a great idea. It most certainly is not. I didn't mean to offend or come off as ignorant about the differences in farming between UK and NA because there are major differences. I was commenting that the method he mentioned was commonly used in NA and our customers in the UK are doing...
This is the method that is done all across North America. Our customers in the UK have successfully been using the same method. Soil type will most certainly play a role in spacing and depth.
Hi all,
We're looking for some available farms throughout the UK to host some demonstrations for our Soil-Max drainage plough. I'm wondering if anyone would be available to help us host in 2-3 months from now. Below is a video of the last demonstration we held just outside of Duxford.

I'm not sure if anyone is still following this thread. It's been awhile since our UK webinar. However, we did just wrap up our first UK field day. We installed 100mm pipe with a Soil-Max ZD1200 being pulled by a Valtra T 174. Check it out below!

I will say this, our customers in the UK haven't used stone yet and almost every farmer in the US installs tile without stone. Most of that is due to their tile design. Shorter spacings between runs and even installing shallower in some cases. You spend more on pipe but save much more by not...
I thought people following this post might like to see a video recap of our demo day we hosted in the UK.
We installed 4" pipe at 32" deep with a Soil-Max ZD1200 being pulled by a Valtra T 174.
Also, here's a video recap from our UK Demo Day.
We installed 4" pipe at about 32" deep with a Soil-Max ZD1200 that was being pulled by a Valtra T 174.
We sell 2 pieces of technology that were designed to go along with the plough to help control the grade so you're always getting the necessary fall you need. Below is a demonstration of that technology.
Hi all,
We attended our first Cereals farm show a few weeks ago and were very happy with the number of people that stopped by our booth! We were the silly Americans with a big, yellow drainage plough on display. If anyone missed our booth or the demo day we hosted last week, I wanted to post...
If you have land with a lot of grade, you can use the machine manually which would be the cheapest route. Our smallest plough (ZD1200) and a bootkit for 80mm tile would be $26,300 USD. We sold a plough to a farmer near the Scottish Borders who purchased our medium-sized plough (ZD1600), with...
Hey all,
I wanted to let you know that we're hosting a drainage plough demonstration on Friday 10 June at a farm near Ware, England, UK SG11 1BE. We'll be demonstrating our smallest drainage plough, the ZD1200, and showing how it works with the grade control technology.
