    Close call accident thread?

Back in the early 80's my dad was driving a county skidder in the woods. It had a log dozer type blade on the front and hydraulic winches on the rear and was covered in guards etc, also had balloon tyres. He was working on a bit of a slope and so at lunchtime he reversed the rear wheels into a...

    Remote camera

Thank you for your replies, I have mobile reception at the rental but not at my own house. Broadband at both places. As I said earlier I am a bit naive/slow to grasp how this works. Ring door bell sounds like a good option. Cheers

    Stock Fencing

Have tried casting strainers in the past and they worked OK but due to worrying about them breaking they ended up quite big, about a foot square and so took a bit of working with to get plums in hole etc. Can't get any concrete sleepers here (which I think would be ideal) so have started using...

MF 3080 won't go into low range.

Hello, thanks for getting back to me, the light stays in hare no matter what we've tried, definitely not an indication problem because tractor was definitely in high, remove the wire and the gear lever goes solid, reconnect and the lever jumps toward your knee as soon as the wire is put on.

MF 3080 won't go into low range.

Hello mf-Andy, disconnected the wire and the gear stick went solid as far as moving it side to side is concerned, it would still move forwards and backwards i.e from 1st to 2nd and the gearbox was in high with the light showing the hare, tried this and different variations of it several times...

MF 3080 won't go into low range.

Hello, as above tractor won't go into low. Have looked all around linkages for the gear lever and it all seems fine, can still get 1-4 . Got a more mechanically experienced mate to have a look and we checked out the solenoids and they all seemed fine, swapped the 4 wheel drive and low/high...

    MF 3080 cylinder head

Hello, thanks for replies.air and fuel filters are new.will check thermostart and breather.just a bit annoying after time and expense that its not a bit smoother.thought it might have been an injector pump issue but maybe should just be happy considering the hours that are on it.
