Anyone offering whole wheat in the afternoons as a treat/scratching/foraging alternative.
Not as a diet alternative more of a treat/enrichment/welfare improvement.
Just considering offering a product to fill the gap if there is one !
As title really
We are mixing Urea and AS.
Am I right in thinking that for applications from 1 Apr 24 we need to include an inhibitor ?
What's on the market to add to the mixing process or add to the sprayer when filling in yard/field ?
Thanks S.
Newby to mixer wagon.
I'm wanting to produce dry blends. Rolled cereal and beans with additional protein and minerals possibly with molasses.
A unit with high discharge height and good empty out ability to reduce residual product between blends.
It won't ever do forage based diets.
Single axle...
We struggle to drill beans any deeper than 75mm with Amazone combi.
Last year geese really spoiled about 20% of an 8 ha field as the crop was emerging , locating the seed by following the emerging plant to the seed.
What depth do most drill at ?
Tried removing depth limiting discs, but no real...
As title but how little can I get away with ?
We're rolling and treating in one go . Using a sprayed and mixing auger system. The recommended rate is 8lts/tonne for longer term storage with grain at 18% m/c.
Thoughts ?
Thanks.
Signed up to what is now very expensive electricity contract and just wondering if there is a way out ?
What happens if I cancel the DD and wait to be cut off.
Could use a genny whilst waiting for a new supplier.
Could even use a genny with current supply, sure it would be cheaper !
We have a fork lift with shared use which I own.
Is it possible to install something to ascertain the individual use. A written record in cab hasn't been successful.
Ours isn't working, got stuck the other day, made a mess !
It's never worked but never really been a problem.
Decided to try and sort it, if it was working wouldn't have got stuck.
Any pointers or starting point ?
Thanks
Satellite broadband, does anyone have experience.
We have Openreach copper wire and 4G receiver. Both not good enough. No fibre planned !
I'm wondering about Starlink and then bouncing to another 3 properties with long range wireless to share the cost.
Don't know if this would even be possible...
Wondering about a bean drill based around an Accord DF 1 unit.
My major concern is piping up the seed delivery pipes and coulters.
It's going onto an Alpego Cayman with 10 legs. Do I get a distribution head cover which divides the seed as best works out I.e. 3 coulters worth down one pipe or...
So, we have 2 x SF3000 receivers which now appear to be obsolete for current SF1 use.
Is there any routes to enable their use rather than upgrading to more recent hardware.
I'd happily move to increased accuracy, just a bit fed up with JD enforcing constant hardware upgrades.
We've already...
Currently we're using a sinar AP6060 with decent results in average harvesting conditions.
But results following very hot days give more variable results.
We think this is due to the outside of the grain being drier than the middle.
Testing grain 24 hrs after it has been harvested can give a...
We have a watercourse on the property.
Forget the EA and any permission !
I have an idea to harness electricity generation.
Question is what is the best way to convert the rotary power generated by my device into usable electricity.
I am an absolute beginner so idiots guide please.
I'm looking at upgrading our MFL Bruiser ( which is an excellent machine )
We have put together a plant which we can blend protien/minerals and add molases to supress dust.
It is quite bespoke and on the slow side.
I'd ideally like a seperate hopper for protien, minerals and a tank for...
Lost the Culverthorpe plastic tray for counting 200 ? Seeds.
Does anyone have one thats no longer needed.
Don't want to pay £29.50 for a lump of plastic and I don't need the slide scale weigher thing.
Thanks
