Looking at putting in approx 15 aces of winter feed crop in for sheep after spring barley. What would be the best sow at that time. To graze after Xmas for as long possible?

is it safe to feed tups whole barley during the winter after tupping?

Grown fodder beet this year with success or luck?? What is the usual rotation for fodder beet before it can be re drilled again in the same field?

Grown 6 acres of fodder beet for the first time. Looks a decent crop but need to make a clamp out of bales, which I need to buy in. How suppose how long is a peice of string comes to mind but, would any body have a rough idea of how many bales I would need to make the clamp.

Sorting through some gimmer shearlings to keep. I noticed ewe with really bad orange/brown urine stains around her back end? Is this something of concern? should I keep her??

Might be a daft question. But.... A rouge tup managed to tup some rogue ewe lambs in the night. Is there anything available to give to sheep so they won't become in lamb? Many thanks

thinking of lambing next year around Xmas time. Will work better for my other work to get Lambed up and most lambs away by spring. Will have around 100 Suffolk x ewes and put them to charollais tups. Will a teaser tups be beneficial before I sponge and pmsg. Or not bother and just sponge them.

Doubled tagged a few gimmer lambs to keep as replacements using shearwell tags. Some seem to have bad infections where the tags have gone. Tags have been put in in the right place. Is it something I've done wrong? Sprayed them with cyclo spray will this make them go down or should I cut tags out...

Just thinking about feeding my ewe lambs over winter. Is oats and sugar beet pellets a decent enough mix to give to ewe lambs over winter? How much would you feed per head?

I'm going treat my lambs with scabivax tomorrow said few a starting with a few scabs and had it bad last year for the first time. Just wondered if I should do the ewes as well. A couple had scabs on teats from last year. Will it be worth while doing everything?
