    Diverting water across a track

We've made a drain and run a pipe on one side of a track that works well at taking alot of surface water away from higher up. I want to put in something diagonally across the track, a little higher up, to make sure all water is channelled to the correct side of the track and into the drain...

    JCB 8014 loss of power

Using my JCB 8014 today. Under load, the engine can stall despite being on maximum revs. Small rams don't affect it but it does happen when using the bigger arm rams and the tracking motors. Any ideas on why this is happening. Hydraulic fluid level is good. Thanks

    Tractor tyres - radia/crossply/premium/budget

Hi I need to replace both tyres on my Valtra 700 - small tractor. One is very worn and the other has a puncture. I could get the puncture repaired, but tyre people tell me that I would have to have inner tube and then couldn't fill the tyre with water - which it currently has for ballast...

Small square bales - stem length

Hi all Just completed our FIRST EVER hay harvest. We decided to do some small square bales to sell to the local community (horse feed, small animals etc). Compared with the round bales, the length of the stems in the bales is very short. It's almost what I'd describe as chopped hay. Is this...

    Tack grazing rates

Hi all Can anyone advise on tack grazing rates? We’ve around 30-40 acres of land which we will regularly offer to a local farmer who will put 10-12 cows on it to graze between August and March each year. So far we haven’t got a formal arrangement or agreement on what to charge him. I'd like...

Hi I'm looking at options of getting either a gator (something like the John Deere XUV855D) or quad bike (Honda TRX500) for 70 acres of pasture: feeding animals, fencing, moving stuff, pulling small loads etc. Apart from the obvious: staying drier, having more room onboard to carry stuff), but...
