    Lely Storm mengele 40

I’m in a different country sorry so that wouldn’t work, how well did the paddles, knives and plates work to crack the kernels? Do you have any pictures or videos of the chopped maize? cheers

    Lely Storm mengele 40

Hi @mengeleguru The Lely storm for sale near me has the rotary maize head that Lely designed for sale with it, I believe it was one of the last made in 2018. I’ve read the parts book and see that you can attach kernel plates designed to crack the kernels, as you stated I’d have no interest in...

    Lely Storm mengele 40

@mengeleguru do you have any videos of the 300 profi’s in maize? Tempted to see how much they can have shoved through them and what the chop length/corn cracking looks like. Had one come up for sale near me but want to hear how it goes in maize as I’d love to be able to get some through her to...

Kuhn vs kverneland four furrow plough

Yes turn over is perpendicular. Ploughs running 90 degrees to the ground. I think I’ll test it with the check chains tight so that the plough can’t pull to either side. do you guys run your skimmers in line with the points, or are the set slightly towards to unploughed land? because I’ve also...

Kuhn vs kverneland four furrow plough

Nah it should be 40mm for anything below 135cm. The problem would be exaggerated if I wound that cylinder in.

Kuhn vs kverneland four furrow plough

Yea I spend a few hours yesterday widening the front tyre width so it is now exactly as you have just suggested. For the rest of it…… 😂 I do like to think I slightly know what I’m doing haha. I am going to try running the check chains tight rather than free to move however to see if that stops...

Kuhn vs kverneland four furrow plough

This is very much what I’ve been thinking ! The check chains are free to move and you’re correct that the top link isn’t sitting straight behind the tractor, it’s leaning into the ploughed ground. I had assumed it was because of the plough set up. But my thinking has been that perhaps I should...
