I would but it makes climbing from the seat to the back actor a pain as you smack your head on the rollbar apparently, the top half has been cut off in the brackets so would need a new piece as the last owner never had it.

Sounds familiar with the brakes, I reckon mine has been used for digging out clamp silage with the bucket in the past as the front casting round the ram was absolutely full of silage and the air filter the same.

The dry disc brakes work better than I thought, they just work better on one side more than I expected. Steering is alright, but I haven’t had chance to check the power steering oil so I expect there’s not a lot left

Does start well, I don't reckon the engine has been done, at least not in the last 20 years as its plastered in oil, need to power wash it off soon. Its a weird design of bucket, the ram pins straight onto the bucket rather than using an H link so the pins need to be a lot further apart or the...

I'm very happy with it for £3500, currently sat in our shed at home. All works well and the torque convertor is pretty strong, need to find some more buckets for it though. Driving it home 2 miles was an experience though down over Perry Hill!

    Countryside Stewardship first time application

We own a 12 acre smallholding of all permanent pasture, but I can plough up parts for the scheme, is there any way to apply for Countryside Stewardship? We used to claim Single Farm Payment until about 10 years ago when they introduced a rule about having to have over 5 hectares of ground to...

    16yr old tractor license

I needed a National insurance number to start with to apply for the provisional, once that has come through then go onto the DVLA website, pay the £62 and wait for an email to come through for when it is, for me, this took about 5 weeks to get a date.

    Tractor test

I booked in September as my birthday is end of November, got a test date at the start of February, passed alright, tried ringing a few times and it never came to anything, sorry but I don't think there's much we can do about it at this moment in time

    Massey Ferguson 230 Info required

230s didn't have cabs from the factory like the 240, so was most likely fitted by a dealer, if that helps at all, a friend of mine owns one with the same cab that used to be on gang mowers
