Had the lady out few weeks ago, and she told us the above, so we will stick with the current work out pro and laptop for cattle.
It’s a good programme, but getting a little clunky now, so looking forward to when my farm works is sorted
We run a 3500g Redrock on 710's travels OK, but if you are putting a dribble bar on the back be very careful, we have a 12m dribble bar on ours, and have ended up with no weight on the back of the tractor, so grip then becomes an issue.
Mixit, messed around with lots of other stirrers that took a lot of time and not much action before contacting them, stirring is now a simple, quick job. contact them before you build the tank for advice, they are very helpful, and knowledgeable.
My thoughts exactly, the only benefits in theses schemes are to enable a young farmer to get a foot on the ladder and build some capital, otherwise you may as well do the job yourself, they do not add any value to the chain.
Hi Lux, good, but I am not keen on the styling on the front, but just a personal preference.
I have just got a 19 plate V6 Amarok, it is a lovely truck, really nice to drive on long journeys, and if you want to over take someone the power is there, not sure on long term reliability, but so far...
We also have a 3500g Hi spec, with a 7.5m Agquip trailing shoe and Vogelsang macerator, the axles are better placed on this one so much better weight transfer onto tractor, personally I think a better tanker, but other members of the team prefer the Redrock.
My advice would be see the local...
Yes we have one, fine on its own, but axles are not in the right place if you want to put a dribble bar on the back.
We put a mastek 12m dribble bar on and the tanker is a nightmare as there is no weight on the drawbar, even though the same guy supplied the tanker and dribble bar, all new.
Standing charges here total £26.77/day.
We have a 400kW AD that supplies the farm and poultry unit, but we have to have a 100Kva supply available if the Plant goes offline. When I queried it I was told, that these costs were previously "hidden" in the charge per kWh, and as we use so little...
We have had the same with a younger animal, in desperation my wife started dosing it with 50ml cider vinegar daily and it worked.
It will probably drop down dead in a few months time just to spite her, but at the moment it is putting on condition and looking healthy
Have you thought of Triticale, that's what we use for wholecrop 30T/ha+, normally harvest end of June beginning of July, seed cheaper than Rye, not sure on Blackgrass though.
have been with Clydesdale/Virgin since 2012, they would support a diversification project when no one else would. The bank itself is no different to any other, but I have had the same relationship manager for the last 8 years, and he is excellent. He visits once a year and we keep in contact...
I run to both on the UK fuels network as that has most options close to me, as said before watch it because they aren't always the cheapest, but works for me, especially as I am not hunting for receipts at the end of the month
I have just had a quick read of the AHDB Annual report for 2021-22 and in the introduction it states that the cost of staff and overheads is £29million WTF are they doing with all this money? I have been to a few of their benchmarking visits and whilst its a jolly day out I can't see any...
