Chewing the fat with a friend about older tractors glazing their bores when doing stationary work at tickover/fast tickover.
He said that it wouldn't apply to direct injection engines, I'm not so sure, but willing to be convinced.
Any mechanics who can give a definitive answer?

I want to make a concrete weight for a compact tractor, needs to be about 150kg. If the weight frame is about 20cm width (internal) what dimension of former would I need to make? It would be a simple hook on affair with a loop on top to lift it off, I can't quite get my head around the dimensions.
That one's now 16 years old, I think I'll give it a miss.
The bottom one might be worth a look though.
LATER EDIT: The bottom one looks to have a dodgy MOT history.
I have read that the Vivaro injector problem was up to 2014 M9R engines, so should be ok after that date.
I am struggling to find a six seater, so thought about getting a goodish van then having side windows and seats fitted. Anyone knows the legalities of this as regards MOT/Taxation, or even...
No ULEZ, and no motorways within 130 miles!
I'd prefer ownership to hiring, it gives me the flexibility to maybe keep it longer if it works out the way I want it to.
I am needing a 6 seat crewcab for a couple of months and the Transit and Vivaro seem to be the most abundant.
I realise there will be fans of both, but which would be the most reliable, and best for resale once no longer needed, budget isn't great but around £7,500 max.
