    Workwear trouser recommendations?

I find the Aldi ones thin very quickly between the legs. And they took out the elasticated bit in the waistband too. Never bought them since.

    Blood Pressure

Are the home ECG monitors any use? They tend to record, but then charge for analysis beyond the basics. But they can export a PDF that could be passed to a GP if that would help in capturing what was happening when it did so, rather than at a hospital appointment when everything might be...

JCB 801.4 Minidigger - fuel filling

Hello Recently got an old JCB 801.4 minidigger, everything that has to work seems to do so. Came to top up fuel and upon removing fuel cap, there seems to be a fitting for a fuel cap inside it too. I can fill into that using the nozle on the jerry can, but is there supposed to be an internal...

    Blood Donating....

I'd spend half my time checking something hadn't fallen off. Must be tricky in forested areas or getting through squeeze stiles.

Their GB70 is good 2000A unit too. Under £200. Rated for 8 litre petrol, 6 litre diesel. Cables could be bit longer and the light on the other end, but minor issues on a good product.

    Blood Donating....

The comment suggested that the arm patch shown below was an ego trip borrowed from the military, offering no real benefit. Knowing that there is potentially a O- donor available in an emergency is useful, it will still get checked before use.

Probably the Monsal trail over the viaducts. There's still plans to reopen it for rail, but then they lose the ramblers and cyclists. Spectacular line though, viaducts and tunnels...

    My local railway station

As an example, here's the building of one of the reservoirs near Buxton. Lots of steam (rail and construction) and some nice Gritstones. I love looking at these old films. There's some cracking ones of the Cromford & High Peak Railway (C&HPR) showing the wire-roped inclines in use.
