Added a multi-network Data SIM card from V12.co.uk to my FZ-G1
Remove the battery and you will find the SIM card slot, if you have one fitted, just have to remove a small cover secured by two screws...
Then go into network settings and add an APN with the details you will of been sent and...
How close to Cambridge are you?
The basestation there I can change and send out more messages if needed, let me see. Will be there over the weekend or early next week.
1. Isobus is pretty much there, the project had been taken offline whilst the lead developer cleared the project with his employer, I believe that's been sorted, so hopefully will be back online shortly.
You can see a demo of it working here:
2. There is a rate control PCB that can do...
Sounds sensible, can do the install in stages:
Tablet, PCB and antennae
Wheel angle sensor
Switches (isolation, work switch to turn coverage on/off and steer switch)
Valve install
So you can use with no RTK, if for exampling cultivating, fert spreading on grassland, pass to pass accuracy will...
As said for RTK drilling you will need autosteer.
What tractor would you fit it on?
For AgOpenGPS hardest part is fitting a wheel angle sensor, if you can sort that the rest is easy.
Yes you can get a ready made PCB, just need a Windows tablet and some wiring.
To steer the tractor can use...
When I used a lightbar, I would use it to get on line at the start of the run, then help me pick out an object at the end of the field and focus on the object be it fence post or tree etc.
Then look at lightbar to see if I need to adjust and change object to aim at.
Looking at the lightbar...

You can buy it from Ardusimple, print it yourself or get someone to print it for you.
Here one is without the lid fitted.
If you want to spend a little bit more than £300 then a Mosaic X5 from Septentrio is about as good as you get, 6mm horizontal positionally accuracy, this is superior to your Trimble.

Simple answer is sell the Trimble and use an F9P, lots of help available for these setups.
I suspect you would have plenty of change left over and have a better system.
Do you know how your hydraulic valve is plumbed in, if it's taking its oil feed from the priority steering circuit you should have no problems.
But I suspect it may be Teed into the Power Beyond, quite likely if the valve has been retrofitted.
Yes it needs a contract, £9/month for 1GB, £12/month for 2GB.
Yes I think it will go in USB adapter. I'm going to get a WiFi modem that plugs into cigarette lighter socket.
Just buy a kit with assorted sizes, you'll have some for other eventualities.
Ordering the correct individual one will probably cost as much in postage, time/fuel to collect.
I've just ordered a multi-network SIM that automatically uses the strongest signal of the 4 major networks, EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three.
From here:
https://v12.co.uk/
Under £12/month for 2GB 4 network Unsteered SIM.
Whether this only works for 4G I don't know!
