Its strange in a way. The 20reg air brake tractors are useless on air yet when the hydraulic brakes are plugged in there more savage than on my 11 reg tractor.
Did you ever get this sorted? Just got our first new trailer with air brakes and its useless on air, both the same on 6716s and 7718s. Brakes work great on oil.
Just a thought, i did have a rear wheel bearing that started to crunch/ groan when cornering and when weight was shifted onto it. Would disappear for a day or 2 then come back. But cant say it was in any way related to using brakes
Mine was just shy of 7000hrs and we bought 2nd hand with around 2500 hrs, as far as i know it was still on the original brakes. Not sure if you HAVE to change oil and filters but when youve gone to the trouble of putting new brakes in i dont know why you wouldnt want to start with clean oil and...
Weve just had the brakes done in our 6480 for peace of mind. Heard of a few older tractors now because the discs are quite old bits have started to come off even with plenty life left on them.We got discs and pistons so we knew job was right. Its not a big job really if caught early.
Its well built for the money. Are you mainly round or squares? I think it is better suited to rounds but have used ours to load mini hesstons and it was fine. Reason i went for that one as it was it means you can still pick up a 1 round bale and put if against a roof.
Not what you asked but i do have one of these grabs in this link. https://www.jbournetractors.co.uk/in-stock/vertical-bale-grabs-round-square/ . I have the smaller one and handles 2 rounds or 2 squares. Had in on a jcb loadall for 2 seasons and wouldnt be without one now.
This, if the back end drain was as accessible as the engine sump plug i would just drain it all to start with but as above its buried above the pick up hitch where you need an extension welded to the side of a socket to access it. Pumping so much of the oil into drums is no different that...
If it has, i suggest disconnecting the rod or cable to allow the lever to open all the way up and then test them.I would much rather that and have to be abit more carful when empty as the way they are now.
Anyone any suggestions on how to stop pipes popping out of the spool valves on the 67/77 masseys. Driving me nuts, new male ends on the implement, have fitted a new coupler etc and still have pipes popping out. Can use it for half a day then it decides to pop out. Sometimes it pops out when you...
