    Wreckers!!

Not quite. Hgv trailer brakes are air applied, not spring applied. Hgv park brakes are spring applied, and require air to overcome the spring clamping pressure. The two are usually stacked in a single device, but are in operation separate...

    Cattle drag trailer on tractor

No, as @blue says above. But as with all newer Mother Reg tractors, it will have dual line hydraulic brakes to be compliant

    Cattle drag trailer on tractor

Pre mother regs then. They kicked in Jan 2018 If I remember correctly. In essence, it is a suite of increased standards to increase road safety, including better mirrors and changes to standards for trailer braking. Mother Regs tractors changed to match Hgv standards for the pressures and...

    8 spline PTO ?

    Cattle drag trailer on tractor

Is your tractor new enough to be included in the Mother Regs ? If it is...great. If not, you may struggle with the brakes on the drag being far too powerful to be manageable. I tried a modern tri axle drag behind my pre mother regs Puma and mates John Deere 6930, and the drag brakes were so...

    New pick up

Why would they need to? An electric motor gives almost the same power regardless of how fast it is turning, even at startup from 0rpm

    New pick up

I'm not sure on the exact tie-in for the electric motor. Like you say, not a noticeable improvement in overall economy, but they do allow a significant pure electric range (one of the very best I believe), and they allow huge and instantaneously responsive performance for such massive vehicles.

    New pick up

Petrol, yes. The hybrid electric plug in versions produced by Land Rover and Range Rover have an "e" after the hp rating on the badge. They have a decent size battery and an electric motor integrated into the transmission.

    New pick up

No, he is correct. The Igenium inline 3.0 is available twin-charged, using a traditional turbo and a 48v electric supercharger. You may be thinking of the top of the tree 5.0 V8 conventionally supercharged engine used in the top performance variants

    Trailer towing speed

No. Anti-lock brakes are only required on high speed tractors. As mentioned above, standard agricultural tractors are only able to legally travel at 40kmh (25mph) and that is only if your max width doesn't exceed 2.55m If you are over 2.55m the limit is 30kmh (20mph)

Certificates required to operate 360digger on a new road construction site?

CSCS safety card, CPCS digger qualifications, although some sites are happy with NPORS qualification. The last larger road project near me required all operatives to be CPCS blue card qualified which is a more advanced qualification , to prove experience . Adding to the list, and depending on...

Useless air brakes on mf 77s tractors

I tried towing a HGV tri axle drag trailer with disc brakes, which would be like agricultural mother regs in its brake curve pressures and set up, and I was using my pre mother-regs Puma. Just the PILOT pressure when the brake-lights came on was enough to lock all 6 trailer wheels at any speed...

    New Ranger vs New Amarok

Not for several years now. The twin turbo 2.0 superceded the inline-5 cylnder 3.2. The NEW Ranger , like the new Amaroc can also have the AJD V6 3.0
