Looking for advice on selling stock privately

I did have the market out to look at them but she seemed keen on just finding a buyer instead of putting them through the ring.

Looking for advice on selling stock privately

I didn’t question it too much, he was the cousin of a friend of mine and i knew of plenty people that knew him who didn’t have a bad word to say. If it was some random stranger it’d be a different story.

I think that’s my next port of call. I did this last year to no avail, so I just sort of assume it’ll be the same this year.

    Should I castrate bull calves?

Why’s that? Too much money on bought in feed? Too dangerous to work with?

    Should I castrate bull calves?

I assume nobody would be wanting Hereford x bulls. The market would more be in steers finished at grass than bulls that are pushed on?

    Should I castrate bull calves?

I’ve recently bought in 15 Hereford X calves, 5 of which are bulls. All around 3 weeks of age. The plan is to sell them at around 3/4 months of age when they’re weaned. But should I castarte them or leave that decision up to the next person that buys them? Would it put potential buyers off? The...

    Re-doing a CV

I’m looking to re do my CV. For the past 4 years I’ve been travelling and working in different countries so have worked a lot of different farming jobs mostly on a seasonal basis. The usual format of listing your past jobs and what you done there seems to be a bit messy in my situation. Would...

    Working in Canada

@sahara @Whitepeak I’ve also looked into Agriventure but I’m not sure if there still running. There’s been no activity on their Facebook since 2015 and the website looks like it’s for sale. Is there any other reliable ones about. Also how did it work in terms of payment. Do they charge a...

    Working in Canada

I have looked at that, probably something for a few years time. I’ve only done one season on a header, I assume they’d want someone more experienced. Would be a great way to work and travel though.
