After feeding the cows I was made to clear up!😕 Talk about rubbing salt in the wound!😧 Part of the learning curve on practical experience whilst being a student!

    Classics Earning their keep.

Worked on a dairy farm as a student where for the first time I had a 74 series that still had a back window in it. Used to take it off if there was any danger of it getting broken while using a machine. One afternoon on a busy day I was told to put the Farmhand complete diet feeder on and put a...

Think a few of us have done that on various bits of kit over the years! Annoying and takes forever getting all the bits!

After a busy couple of months on one of the bigger girls weather has allowed things to dry enough to get the muck spread and then put the re-bladed aerator to use. The old girl did a cracking job!

Nearly a year on and things have improved but still got a few matters to clear up with McCormick. Adrian Winnett and the new team at Harworth are making inroads! Pictures taken last Friday baling hay - a massive 'Thank You' to Paul Willoughby who came across with his X7 and Vicon baler to help...

    McCormick tractors

Multiple Gearbox error codes, Multiple Engine error codes, fuses blowing, brake failure, refusing to move and to add insult to injury, the radio stopped working. It went into Harworth in December (this was after a dealer supposedly rectified all the problems at McCormicks bidding and failed...

Yet again the old girl has more than earned her keep at hay time! 45 years old but sharing all duties ( didn't get a picture of her with her Vicon disc mower - too busy). Third year on the trot that the X7 hasn't participated - back at Harworth for its third investigation after only 38 hours...

    McCormick tractors

Can't agree more! The MC has over 13000 hours , supposed to be 'retired' but doing all the work as the X7 has so many problems and isn't safe to use!

Going back to Harworth for her third investigation, only managed 38 hours in two months and has been there 7 weeks with no resolution!

    McCormick tractors

Have you got one as well????? Got one as the MC was so good (still have it) but as regards the X7 three years of constant error codes and failures, dealers unable to rectify problems, it spends more time at Harworth than it does here! And yet McCormick say there is nothing wrong with it! The...

    International 574 hy-trans or not?

Used to work for a company that specialised in lube oil distribution. Gave them all the specs on different HyTran containers I had over the years and they couldn't pinpoint a common factor. Think I will try some of the alternatives suggested for next service!
