Just listened to this podcast. Scary! But great advice on how to deal with an outbreak of scab and also on the importance of talking about it with neighbours etc.
Brave of the two farmers on the prog, can really hear how stressful dealing with scab has been for them.
Cheers

So, Im aware from previous chat (some on here if I recall) that "The Red Shepherdess" may not be every ones cup of tea - i have heard things like "instagram poser" etc.
However, listen to this pod (if you have time) - I think it sets out how Hannah, and those like her, are in fact extremely...
Go on to Twitter, lots of chat re “look, I’m at Oxford, listening to important chat.”
Here = nada!
I was of the opinion that many of the debaters on here would relish a chance to hear from and chew the fat with the great minds of our industry in the hallowed halls.
Are none of you there?

I plan to occasionally post links to podcasts I have enjoyed. Please ignore if pods are not your thing.
I thought this episode of OnFARM on the subject of Crofting might be of interest - Crofting not being a subject much discussed on this forum previously (as far as I know...
James Porter, a well known Angus farmer and soft fruit grower telling it how it is in soft fruit and probably in many other sectors too = we cant afford to grow at these prices and our main (supermarket) customers are happy to import instead.

The decks in my ifor trailer are pretty much worn out. We have patched them up over the years but really its like trying to repair Rab C's vest.
A replacement trailer is pretty much out of the question - new ones are impossible to buy, secondhand make stupid money and tbf mine has had work on...
Most interviews with Doddie have a rugby and / or MND (quite rightly) slant.

My Amarok is Lo or 18degrees (then higher) .
Is there anyway to reset to give a minimum of say around 12 degrees?? Ie is this something an auto electrician could easily adjust / set?

Doing a wee repair on this transport box today, and it got me thinking of its amusing (I think so anyway) back story.
It was made by a local engineering firm (ex smiddy) back in the days pre quad bikes and when every farm round here had some sheep needing shifted around.
A few years back I...
Im starting this thread as a way of storing photos and notes of what we have been up to with the sheep.
Im not really looking for comments etc, I just plan to use this like a diary (i dont do Facebook)
Hopefully I shall have the discipline to keep this going.

A few threads on here with suggestions and recommendations for tow vehicles, mainly pickups (etc) ; also some threads re vehicles for lighter load towing. This is what I need advice about - towing sub 2t.
I might replace our car at sometime in near future. We need something to potentially tow...
The main drive shaft has moved off centre on sawbench.
It has forced out the circlip at end of shaft.
I centred the shaft and put circlip back on but it pushed out again a
minute later. I can’t decide if circlip is worn or shaft is worn or if I just haven’t put it back together properly...
Settle an argument please.
Do modern Diesel engines continue to heat after the little yellow light has gone out? Ie before the key is turned all the way round to start position.

Given all the retro fanfare around Jimny’s.
I have it in my head that a diesel 3dr Toyota RAV 4, given the KAP Suzuki treatment, would be the muts nuts.
Anyone ever created / experienced such a beast??
