If the plough is set over on the turnover stops too much it would cause the back to enter work too quickly.

Always used a half inch windy gun changing discs. Fits on in one place at the bottom of disc and turn disc accordingly. No need to bother with mole grips.

Less options with finishing with 3 furrow doesn't bother me.it just takes 2runs instead of 1 to get the ground the right width. Biggest problem is 3 tens leaving 50 inch for penultimate run if your on 56inch centres,That's why 11inch is what I plough.

Why are 3 furrow more difficult to use than 2,apart from finishing which has its pitfalls with 10 inch furrow?

We have two Trimble 750 on rtk having been on egnos and omnistar plus centre point Rtx. They have been very good and as communications have been faultless.

I stuck 2 19mm nuts 4 inches or so apart on a long plastic spirit level on edge. Hold level with nuts both touching landslide then adjust disc until it is flush with level. Good start point for disc 3/4 inch away.

It is harder to set individual units. Skims can either push to hard on discs making them crab slightly or have a gap.

There's times when ploughing without discs is an advantage. Stony light soils which are prone to sticking being one. It would be interesting to hear what disc settings are considered correct,bearing in mind most think it's pretty straightforward. Also does anyone use separate skimmer stems on...

If it's most likely to be a failure then why? It would be interesting to know the reasons why it may or may not work. Pm kills the thread somewhat.

Don't know on an fmx but on a 750 you can press guidance button and shift AB line left or right by whatever distance needed and save it.

Seems that the fire started in the feeder/drum area and spread until flames were coming out of the back. Not an engine fire.

It was crichel estates 780 I'm sure they see the funny side too.

Would also be interested in some opinions as we also looked at the lite track. Currently using an rb55 bateman.

Have had it. No problems, converges to sub 2 cms sometimes usually under 3.
