Always used a half inch windy gun changing discs.
Fits on in one place at the bottom of disc and turn disc accordingly.
No need to bother with mole grips.
Less options with finishing with 3 furrow doesn't bother me.it just takes 2runs instead of 1 to get the ground the right width.
Biggest problem is 3 tens leaving 50 inch for penultimate run if your on 56inch centres,That's why 11inch is what I plough.
We have two Trimble 750 on rtk having been on egnos and omnistar plus centre point Rtx.
They have been very good and as communications have been faultless.
I stuck 2 19mm nuts 4 inches or so apart on a long plastic spirit level on edge.
Hold level with nuts both touching landslide then adjust disc until it is flush with level.
Good start point for disc 3/4 inch away.
There's times when ploughing without discs is an advantage.
Stony light soils which are prone to sticking being one.
It would be interesting to hear what disc settings are considered correct,bearing in mind most think it's pretty straightforward.
