    lowering a farm ATV

Do any of the gators etc have power steering? Current quad has it and he certainly couldn't manage without it.

    lowering a farm ATV

The front would need lowering as much as the back but I'm afraid adding weights would make it much harder to steer especially for an elderly person.

    lowering a farm ATV

Hi has anyone ever successfully lowered the suspension on a quad before? We've got a Honda 500 and it's too high of a step up for grandad to hop on and off. At the same time there is a massive gap between the wheels and the mudguards. I would like to lower it by a few inches. Can only see...

    Moo Monitors

2 local farmers near me had moo monitors in and one has since taken it out again. A lot of problems with them and dairymaster couldn't get it sorted. Do your homework first.

Whats the best type of parlour?

https://www.vandinthervelp.nl/en/products/agricultural/other-systems/the-ergo-floor.html given the amount of time spent in a parlour over a lifetime, it would be a no brainer to install a moving floor. Its standard in almost any parlour in Holland and Germany.

    New Silage Pits

clay bank pits with a concrete floor are legal in NI as I know of one not far from me at an AD plant and they got it all passed. If you are going to be feeding silage all year round id go narrower pits and more pits. Ideally id like 4, one for each cut of grass and one for wholecrop. It...

    Northern Ireland Milk Price Tracker

I doubt it. Mainly guys who put in a drying floor for wood chip or grain who qualified for RHI. I did see an AD plant in Germany on a dairy farm that used the heat in pipes in underground floors in the the cubicles and scraper passages. It stopped the slurry freezing in their cold winters and...

    slow PUH on 541-70

It's a real pain. On the old loadall you could have nearly dropped the hitch and picked up a trailer almost on the move without stopping it's so fast. The pick up hitch is plumbed in via the spool port so maybe the end of the male probe could be removed to improve flow. Failing that it's in the...

Digester men could possibly get 3 subs. Sfp on the land, 4 rocs for the AD plant then also RHI assuming of course you had a viable use for the excess heat produced. It's my understanding that only a few plants are claiming RHI.

    slow PUH on 541-70

Hi recently bought a 541 -70 loadall and the pick up hitch is very slow to move up and down. Does anyone know if there are restrictiors In the hydraulic lines on these machines? My previous 526s the hitch just flew up and down.

    New cow shed

Neat looking job, but im guessing that shipping container is 8 feet wide so not enough lunging space, can you cut out the other side down to the bottom and make some sort of canopy out of the cut out material ?

    jcb toolbox ideas needed?

541-70 really has no room at the step because of the battery and diesel tank. There is no room under the boom either as space is limited when the boom is fully down. Might get something made for either side of the chassis at the back end.

    jcb toolbox ideas needed?

Thanks for posting guys. AC the rear hitch mounted box looks the business but as I use the hitch frequently it wouldn't be an option. The military spec machines have a few nice storage boxes but a little high up for trawling chains in and out off, maybe make something a bit more lower down as...

    jcb toolbox ideas needed?

Recently bought a 541 loadall but I am disappointed at the lack of storage space for tow chains etc. Has anybody made a homemade toolbox that they would like to share pictures of?

I find it hard to believe they don't want a lot of publicity when they have got a lot of publicity. Botulism has hit many herds in the past few years and not a mention of it in the local media. I'm not detracting from the situation though and my heart goes out to the farmers effected. I wonder...

    Boumatic milking parlours.

dont have much time for electromech, im waiting 18 months for them to even come and give me a quote. In fairness they have done me a favour, if it takes them forever to chase up a serious enquirey then I wouldn't want to be waiting on them for a breakdown.....

    Nedap Augmented Reality

interesting technology from nedap. A typical farmer of tomorrow will look like a traffic warden waving their hands about in mid air in a shed. I wonder will the technology be ever applied to humans. Imagine walking into a bar and being able to scan around to see which Ladies are in heat :D
