I am a tenant under aha.
I am seriously looking at flower options on land that needs draining, that I cannot afford to do yet.
Legumes option as the break crop possibly, taking out the risk of winter beans.
I have an hse farm inspection thursday, because I missed an online course apparently, will this include pesticides ?
I spose it will, find out later this week.
Thanks.
Farm stuff not a problem..
Our private car on the other hand, no spare wheel, puncture repair fluid is a pain, now the wife says there is juddering at speed !
All needs an appointment which is frustrating.
These are not Kwik fit, and do handle our farm work well.
It's the car side that use to be very good, now having to make an appointment at the least convenient time.
Our local pop in and have tyre and exhaust renewed, now operates via bookings.
My wife had a puncture, had to book it in for two days later ! Usually you could turn up, wait your turn, but get sorted.
Are all tyre and exhaust places like this now ?
Well, I have just caused a fuss locally by tidying up a footpath.
Hedge brought back to hedge height, lane now light and airy so will allow grasses, flowers etc to grow, but looks a mess at the moment, but is clear, and will be easier for me to maintain at better times of year.
A few locals...
It's under their, 'what a good farm looks like'.
I said to my son, on first impressions, our farm would not look like a good farm, but we have had no accidents in two generations, and the farm has supported the families, and allowed us to invest.
A letter from my local office of HSE.
I had not attended an online course, so they had deemed me worthy of a visit.
I did pen an email to them, to ask what had happened, but every time I reread it, it sounded sarcastic, so I thought better not to wind them up.
