Thought I'd better report in, Valerie 2 row Winter Barley has greatly improved since early spring, a third of the acreage which was planted after fallow has good potential, the remaining two thirds planted after spring barley struggled from Nov to May, time will tell but shouldn't be...
I think I need to try another variety, last couple of years my linseed has lost its get up and go, used to grow Juliet and had good yields but late harvests, changed to Batsman, easier harvests but yields have gone
Disagree😁🙄
I suppose having a very good relationship with our Case dealer helps a lot but when we came to add another smaller tractor back in the early spring my brother and nephew were very keen to try the blue version as they seemed cheaper than the red counterparts, they went of to have a...
Thank you all , original cap rubber had disintegrated , took some time to find a replacement but that hasn't cured the problem , might still be a wrong cap if course , will try a new pipe between rad and expansion tank
Good morning you clever lot
During the day my combine fills the expansion tank to full but does not pull it back into the radiator as it cools,,,,,,, before we start ripping it apart is there something simple we have overlooked
When our trio was delivered new many many years ago it was delivered in 2 parts,,,,,main frame and packer , very sensible.
It's a true "triggers broom" with just about everything being changed, just been through the workshop so should be good for a few more years hopefully
Agronomist I use wanted me to get a T0 on a fair while back, I was busy drilling and as it was dry and cold I thought that as no one else on TFF was putting T0 on then I will join the herd,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, huge mistake, yellow rust has been a nightmare especially in Ziatt
I pulled the plug on drilling linseed 10 days ago as there was no moisture in the ground, then we had 7 mm of rain which was just enough to get the cultivators and drill to produce excellent seedbed. Time will tell tho as the early drilled crops around here have been raveged by flea beetle as...
This one has double disc coulter,,,,,,,,, in the end we wished we had a 3 m machine with a hopper up front
Neighbours pottinger does a nice job but at the end of the day our Rapid got 480 acres planted in under 4 days and if I had more ground cultipressed he would of drilled more..
We have a old vibroflex , okay on weathered ploughing but struggles on the marl TBH
But it has been prepared for a bit of light action with a set of 4 inch points
We used to have a old chap that used to drive around in a old Reliant Robin van many years ago , for a fair few years he used to swear by putting a couple of paving slab's in the back when we had some snow ,,,,,,,, always remember seeing his Robin after the front wheel had decided it was going...
We had ourselves a 4 M combi a few years back thinking it was the way forwards , nope ,,,,,, not for us it wasn't , packer puts the ground down to tight IMHO , the drill bit is sulking somewhere in the nettles , the power harrow is useful occasionally but changed the 4 m rapid for a 6 m one...
I have all my stubbles to start to get ready now . stubble going into linseed then we will lightly trio , cultipress and then drill if conditions are favourable , if its a bit clatty then I might put the power harrow over instead of the cultipress .
I also have ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, a acreage of...
