    OSR this year ?

The figures you are quoting are incorrect. You can apply 750 gms metazachlor/year (e.g. Butisan/Sultan/Rapsan @ 1. 5 lts/ha) The other restriction to be aware of is that no field should be treated with more than 1000 gms/ha of metazachlor over a 3 year period…. which is pretty difficult to do...

    T3 Earwash

Looks like anthers are visible on some of those ears and I would anticipate more being visible in next 24 hours…. If the aim of your T3 is about reducing fusarium/michrodocium infection I would crack on tomorrow without hesitation.

    Winter beans

Will do a mix for Chocolate Spot/Rust but ignore Downy Mildew if disease is absent or below 25% infection levels (might put a phosphite product in if its feels like the right thing to do at the time). If no Chocolate Spot (or rust) present at the moment then happy to delay treatment for time...

    Winter beans

Elatus won't touch Downy Mildew. The only fungicide with approval (EAMU) for controlling Downy Mildew in beans is SL567A/Clayton Tine (other brands might be available). Full rate is 0.16 l/ha but many will apply at lower rates e.g. 0.125 - 0.15 l/ha to balance cost and efficacy. Threshold for...

I agree entirely. Just think it can be misleading when comparisons are made between products or mixes without breaking down into constituent a.i's and quoting savings per hectare/acre without knowing exactly what rates (gms/ha of a.i's) have been used.

In theory all stacks up, risk vs. reward etc. Still not seeing answers to my original point about buying Myresa+Cyrex cheaper vs. Revvystar though. Impossible to compare Revvstar vs. Myresa+Cyrex…. surely need to factor in Comet etc. for fair comparison? Myresa 1.0 l/ha + Syrex 0.5 l/ha = 97...

I did the same mix last year….. albeit at T2. Can't comment on price comparison as only seen the price of Revvystar quotes so far.

Nice. In that instance if Septoria was my main disease threat and I really thought 97 gms/ha of mefentrifluconazole was required (+ I had managed to buy MyResa+Syrex really well) I would match the Fluxapyroxad rate of Revvystar @ 1.0 l/ha…. which would mean Syrex @ 0.6 (0.633 l/ha if your being...

This is good bobk…. we are making some progress now. Any rust concerns?

Difficult to answer with any certainty as I don’t walk your crops. Would need a bit more info to make an over-the-internet recommendation on crops I haven’t seen. In addition I dont know your varieties, spraying capacity or appetite to risk. One would assume that if you are using Myresa @ 1.0...

Righto… 97 g/l mefentrifluconazole per hectare And what are your rate(s) of Syrex?

Not Agrii, but why the witch hunt? I have spent many hours working out a.i loadings of different fungicide mixes and am interested to know how some growers get Myresa+Syrex at a lower cost than Revvystar. Difficult to compare a product with 2 a.i’s with a box offer delivering 3 a.i’s and still...

Genuine query…. I’m intrigued to know what rates of Myresa + Syrex were you comparing against the Revvystar to get a £5/acre difference?

    T1 winter wheat

I’m 99.9% certain it isn’t Cheaper than Revvystar.

    Pacifica plus residual effect

Personally I wouldn't anticipate any noticible negative affects to a following/replacement crop of spring barley from previous application of Pacifica Plus (particularly if soil is well cultivated). However worth noting the Pacifica Plus product label does state that only Winter Wheat and Winter...

    Winter beans

Too early for ‘standard’ fungicide timings. There might be some thick and forward crops with a bit of Downy Mildew in I guess…. But personally never treated winter beans for downy mildew. What disease(s) are present in your crops?
