If I've remember this right, lupat was founded by a Mr Lupton which later became Econ engineering making hedge/verge cutters, and now they make gritters and hot boxes at Ripon
Know of someone who uses a tractor unit as a tractor with a basic 3 point linkage and a forager style pick up hitch and some weight where the 5th wheel should be. They tow a wagon style alloy trailer, but agri weight limits apply and same restrictions on red diesel use. I think as full...
General rule of thumb for us is, cut on day 1 with a plain disk mower, do nothing day 2, ted on day 3 and 4, then row up and bale on day 5, if it is a bit near leave in rows for a few hours - they are called windrows for a reason!
Sorry for the slow reply, we have had a family emergency this week.
Yes I did get this fixed thanks, with the latching switch. It was too long to fit in the gear knob so I made a collar to step it out
The massey switch still clicks but has stopped working, I think it is worn out, unfortunately it is a sealed unit so i can't get in to clean it. I'll try to get some contact cleaner down the side of the button and see if that helps.
I'm not sure if a 62 series switch would work as that would be...
The original massey one doesn't latch but my guess is that it must keep the circuit, as without the switch in the gear stick 2 of the 3 wires have to be connected together to make the other switch on the rh side of the cab work correctly
The push button gear stick switch on my 399 to operate the speedshift is knackered. I have spoken to my local MF dealership and they are no longer available.
Has anyone had the same problem and found a replacement switch?
I have looked online at switches but haven't found anything like it
I think I just opened the micro switch up, I didnt touch the solder. Hope you get it sorted, I had to finish a field off last year by turning the PTO on and off - it didn't work as well as you would think
I had the same problem last year.
I took the micro switches apart and cleaned the contacts with electrical contact cleaner, put it back together and has been trouble free since!
