    yes, we plant the seed into module trays and start them off in the greenhouse then harden them off outside before planting with a transplanter

    Cousins micro wing oil drill

    only slightly related really but this year I've put some of their micro wing legs on the front of our transplanter and put our sprouts and other greens straight into last years SB stubble, really happy with how its gone so far.

    Yesterdays experiment was putting some very late SB into a patch of brussel sprouts that had been left and gone to seed, had to wait to drill this little patch as we were still cutting some sprouting broccoli next to the sprouts until the other day.

    I’ve got a sumo tyre press (1250kg) to go on the front so we’ll see how it goes, do you need your 500kg extra on the drill all the time?

    Haven’t actually had any drills on demo, I applied for the grant in August without realising that if it was approved we would have such a short window to buy a drill and the weather would be so bad for demos?. Just had to go for it or lose the grant in the end but I was most convinced by the GD...

    I'm up near Southwold so I'm a fair run from you in a tractor (and thanks for the offer), but from what you're saying I think we should be fine. We've taken the plunge anyhow so we should see our new GD around April time. Looking forward to being able to contribute to this thread properly;)

    I know it says on the weaving website that they are 2500kg but how far back is the weight? would a JD 6430 lift a 3 metre grain only GD??
