January 1982,-25C recorded at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire. My Dad told everyone he told the dog to lie down and it froze to the ground! We had to walk our neighbours 25 cows up the Lane to milk in our herringbone parlour as their Pipeline was frozen for several days.
