My phone was buzzing today with news that a proper celebrity was out an about, forget your Hollywood A listers, this was a proper superstar! Last seen being mobbed by big busted beauties and signing autographs, what a feckin legend…..

    The Digger Picture Thread

I’d be worried about moving the pin in the link rather than the bush, if I get they link moving on the pin, I think it will be bad news, I need to get the pin free in the bush. Only successful way I can see is taking the pins out individually, but as you say, its a big job, but got to be cheaper...

These will have no seals. Heat may work, but would possibly have to be careful not to over heat the bush, it will be a hardened piece of steel I think. I’m in favour of pushing each effected pin out, cleaning the pin and bush, then refitting. In a bid to save the chain, as the wear it currently...

    The Digger Picture Thread

Im more of a duck oil fan than WD40, I find the Duck much better. But i get your point. The thing with excavator chains is they are not meant to be lubricated with any sort of oil, unlike SALT chains that you may find on a dozer, I was just hoping to use the Duck oil to get the links moving and...

I have the same issue on a machine, but cannot seem to get them to improve, unfortunately not in an acceptable environment to be pouring gallons of oil on them, although I did try an intensive campaign of Duck oil on the effected links. Unfortunately it hasn’t improved with use, in fact its got...

    Wrong type of rain

Not a drop yet in Tollesbury as far as I could see yesterday. I very near got stuck the other day, not too far away from you, later that day on another farm it was desert storm! Yes I dashed in to Kings Head, was sticky there first thing! Then finished a job the other side of the reservoir, got...

    Wrong type of rain

This past week I’ve driven from one dry job to the next, through torrential rain, on more than one occasion! That day I unfortunately had to follow the sludge boys I didn’t have a drop, which was welcome as the place was wet enough, esp with sludge freshly applied! But just a few hundred yards...

    Proper Lime

Yes it does sound similar, different source, but essentially taking a very finely ground lime, from a suspended solid in water to a spreadable product. and “success “? Who have you been speaking to, I’d say it’s fake news.....

Old farmer's saying's..... do you know any ?

You pay to learn, boy.... it’s one that my grandfather used to regularly say to my father apparently and one I've heard myself from my father, a lot! Rarely is there a cockup, disaster, misguided purchase etc that hasn’t cost money, time, blood sweat and tears, or a combination of all of those...

That wouldn’t work on a drawbar trailer with imposed load on the hitch though, unless you had the actual hitch upside down? But I dare say that’s not recommended, and wouldn’t feel right tbh. They get away with it on that dolly trailer as there’s only the weight of the drawbar itself pushing...
